College review

Stepping into this college has been life changing. I have learnt so many things in life from this place. I owe a lot to this place and it will always be very special because whatever I am today has been contributed majorly by this place.

The curriculum changed from 3 years to FYUP to again 3 years plan within the first year of my course. The exam used to be of 70 marks and 3 hours were given to attempt the same. Rest 30 marks were for internal assessment which was evaluated on the basis of projects, class presentations and random tests.

Our college did not offer much placements then. Very few companies came there to conduct interviews and the students who attended the interviews gave a positive feedback. They liked being given an exposure before being able to go out in the real world.

Satyawati college, being a part of Delhi University celebrated yearly fest with great enthusiasm. Apart from the fest which included performances from celebrities too, there were many events which kept the students involved in co-curricular activities. Street plays and dance club activities were few of the most popular things in the college.

The fee structure was quite feasable because this college is affiliated with Delhi University. There were also concessions given to people of different categories and the process to submit fee was equally convenient for all.

I have not been much aware of any loan facility provided by the college. But the college did provide appreciation token to the students who performed excellently in the semester exams. On every annual day, these students were given awards to encourage them to keep doing better in the future.

The extracurricular activities in the college were amazing. From dance club to theatre club to computer lab, all the facilities were available and students were encouraged to participate in different activities. There used to be cultural programs where students could showcase their talents. Apart from this, the college organised several competition too to keep the spirit upright.

Our seriors were extremely helpful. From the very first they, they were warm and welcoming. They introduced us to the surroundings and made us comfortable in the college. In addition to this, they were always ready to help and guide for the future endeavors.

Checking upon the cut off list for all DU colleges, I rushed to this college for reserving a seat for myself in the course B.A. English honours. We were supposed to submit all the required documents, get our marks verified and were alloted admission on the same day itself.

The faculty was amazing. Really supportive and experienced teachers with whom I am still in touch. It was an enriching experience to be under their shadow and to get to learn from them. Not only they had been wonderful teachers but equally great human beings.
