Remarks
The college is very safe and secure. With armed gaurds and fixed points in the campus and regular mounted patrols , you don't have to worry about any outside threats. Also night time gaurds are veg active. Students are instructed to be back to hostels by 8pm and not allowed to stay out of college grounds.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum for masters consists of 2 core subjects and 2 elective subjects per semester and a total of 2 such semesters which makes up the first year. Core subjects are predetermined by the college but the electives are your choice. The second year consists of your main project and thesis. You will be working under a PhD professor to research and innovate a project, maybe publish a few papers and build a proof of concept or perform simulations and produce results.
Placement Experience
There is a training and placement cell headed by a trainer and consists of student representatives from each class in the campus. The representatives are the ones who brings companies to the campus for placement. So there is a clear line of communication to each student on what is happening. And there are groups in facebook and whatsapp which provide timely notices of new companies coming to the campus. The college does provide internship in some aspects. Stipend is provided to only Masters and Doctoral Candidates for 2 and 5 years respectively with an amount of 12,400? and 25,000? respectively.
College Events
The college hosts two main events. A technical fest called Incandescene in which events such as games and puzzle solving are done. Along with quizzes and conferences about paper publishings. Events such as storytelling and speech are also held. The other fest is called Rexians
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee Structure is feasible as the college provided a stipend every month which adds up to be more than the fees you pay. Fees for masters is 59,000? per semester (6 months). The stipend you get us 12,400? per month which adds up to over 72,000 per semester
Fees and Financial Aid
The banks have ties with this college because of its reputation and you can get loans very easily if you get admission here. Graduates can get loans much easier than post graduated or PhDs. So if you're looking for BTech entry , go ahead.
Campus Life
The college has multiple sports teams ranging from cricket to basketball. You can apply for any team and participate in the tryouts and get selected if you're good enough. Regardless, grounds are open to all students and you can play whenever you want. Indoor shuttle courts are also available.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel infrastructure is not suitable for everyone in terms of hygiene and food. But if you're willing to suffer through shared Indian toilets shared by around 10 people per toilet with food that occasionally is bland and unappealing then its a decent place to rest your head.
Alumni/Alumna
College has their own alumni network and website. Alumni must register in the site before leaving the college and can participate in many events to contribute to the college and the society. There are regular events and they meet often.
Admission
Attempt GATE exam for my field of study (Computer Science) , score a passing score of 25 marks out of 100. A percentile score card will be issued. Provide the score to an yearly allotment process held by CCMT along with the choice of colleges you prefer. Depending on your percentile score and the registered choices obtain your allotment. Pay seat booking fees at the college and claim your admission at the joining date.
Faculty
Faculty is of average caliber. But you can find some invaluable professors with in depth knowledge of the field with willingness to help their students. At the same time not all professors are there to help students. And some are not that knowledgeable in subjects other than their own.
