Best Days of My Life

The best college obviously as I spend four best years of my life because of which I am doing a reputed job now and having great friends circle. I will always miss those days.

IIT JEE 2006, Exact score nor remember but my rank was 49(st). IIT JEE considered the toughest exam so I took that challenge and IIT Roorkee was closest to my home so I opted for that. Rest everyone knows that iit's are the best technical institute in India.

The course curriculum was very well designed and faculties are one of the best in the nation. The way of teaching and making things clear was amazing. They share some incredible experiences in their life.

I opted for an internship at my institute itself under a very prominent professor Shri. Dharmendra. It was a great experience where I got the chance to work on the quality data of satellite imaging.

100% placement with world-class job opportunities. Companies like Google, reliance, Schlumberger, ongc, ntpc, Microsoft, etc visit the campus for placement every year in the month of December-February.

Cognizance: one of the best technical feasts across the country where students from various colleges came to take participate.thomso: one of the best cultural festivals of north India.Sangram: sports feast organized by IIT Roorkee every year. kshitij: a festival for art and culture.

The fee structure is very feasible. During the years 2009-10, It was 30,000 per semester including hostel and mess charges. There are a number of facilities available on the campus free of cost like the gym, swimming, stadium, Indore game facilities, library, etc

Many scholarships available in the institute for sc/st/obc candidates there are relaxation in fee. For good performers too there are various scholarships. Also in the field of extra curricular and sports there are many scholarships available.

Extracurricular: Painting, Drams, singing, trekking, cycling, river rowing, etc. labs: IT, Electronics, mechanical, civil, hydro, biotech, etc. sports: cricket, basketball, football, volleyball, athletics, hockey, badminton, squash, table tennis, etc.

The rooms are very well maintained. Every year once the room maintenance will be done by the institute.The size of the room was well enough for a single student. Rooms available both as sharing as well as single. The food was very hygienic though sometimes the tast.

The alumni network was very well maintained by the institute. Alumni meets took place every year. Various events organized on the day, alumni also provide inputs in enhancing the facilities and quality of the institute.

In a semester there are 2 mid sem exams and 1 final term exam. Questions in exams are well designed by professors to check an in-depth understanding of the topic.
