Honest review of N.I.T kurukshetra

Positive remarks about my college is that it is very strict about ragging and there is not a single case of ragging occurred in my 2 years till now and since no senior has ever experienced any ragging thus it also do not favor the ragging of Juniors.

Course curriculum is very good as it was updated in 2017 and has become more job oriented. In N. i. t we have two mid sems of 15 marks each and an endsem of 50 marks. You will always remain busy with exams but midsem are completed within 3 days which doesn't make a lot of stress.

Job placement In kurukshetra is excellent especially for IT sector as a lot of companies visit for campus placement and this year till now 90% of overall students are placed till Jan and highest package was received from Microsoft of 42 lpa received by 8 students and also 3 students received p. p. o. more which visited were Amazon, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, Qualcomm, Adobe, fidelity etc. also college from now also provide assured internship opportunity as 6 sem is off for internship. So college takes its responsibility of providing internship to students.

Various events celebrated in college are techspardha which is biggest technical event of North India about which u can Google. cultural festival of nit kurukshetra is confluence which is celebrated with great spirit and many college participate in this fest. must watch event in this fest is battle of bands along with others. also various small events are also celebrated like utkarsh which is exclusive for first year and also sports fest for sports enthusiasts.

Fee structure is very much feasible as it is a government college and. u are not required to pay a hefty amount for your bachelor degree. Tuition fee per semester is 62500 (for 2018 admission year) and which can be waived off or can be reduced to 1/3 if u have an income certificate of income less than 1 lakh or 5 lakh respectively. You can avail any government scholarship as government colleges students are always welcomed for government scholarships. Also student loan is also available like any other college for those who need it as there is a sbi branch in the college which every year provide student loan to the students.

Extracurricular activities are a lot to explore after your regular classes you are free to roam around in campus and outside you can do whatever you want after 4:30 as classes get off. In club you regular receive parties after the fests are over. there is a friendly environment in club and socities and there is no discrimination on race or economic status or any other thing.

Hostel infrastructure is very good contrary to your expectations about which you have heard in movies or heard about government colleges. It has a minimal fee and very good sanitation in bathroom as they are cleaned everyday without a skip. also if something is missing or defective in your room you can write a complain about it which will be resolved within 3 days as assured and I have also experienced it personally ?.

Senior students are very helpful and are always ready to assist you in any need and if you want u can contact me anytime once you take admission in this college, also alumni network is also very strong as the students who got placed in big companies regularly contact and bring them for campus placement.

I got a rank 8276 in my Jee main 2018 and thus I had various options available for taking admission during Josaa choice filling but since I was a general candidate and I wanted a computer stream only as the only good and viable option and since kurukshetra was near my hometown I submitted it along with mnnit e. c. e but I didn't got mnnit and got nit kurukshetra in sixth round (closing rank of IT in sixth round) and I freeze it

Faculty is okayish as some teachers who are well qualified are good in teaching rest of them are chill and doesn't concern u much about attendance but there is some tension during exams for the syllabus and in college u know u have to study yourself only.
