Remarks

It's a great college and the amount of opportunities to learn offerered are endless. A students goes through a journey of growing into a person who is responsible and inspire to do great with her life( her as its an all-girls college), however, infrastructure is something which should be improved.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

We had a great faculty at our college. The teachers made sure to focus on each student, there were discussion classes where teachers asked the students to clear their doubts if any. The syllabus covered everything that ideally any political science students would hope for. I didn't felt anything hectic about the exams. Months before the exams teachers made sure to clear our doubts, give extra attention to each student, suggest us with ways to manage time along with word limit while writing the paper.

Placement Experience

3

There was a placement cell which offered placements to students who need it. We had a class group where we were updated about jobs if any. So, placements aren't 100% but totally depends on the student's calliber.

College Events

4.5

Cultural annual fest, departmental fest, theatre, dance, singing fest are some of them held annually. They are held on massive level and encourages great amount of partcipation. Students of differen college are allowed to participate in the various competitions held by our college's different societies. The winners are awared with sometimes cash prizes or a trophy. It's extremely fun to participate in our college activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's very feasible. Being a govt college, the annual fee was inexpensive. The course was a three year course and annually it was just around 9k. This just not feel that much and therrefore one does not feel the load of money to that extent. I was really glad about its fee structure simply being an outstation students I was relaxed and satisfied.

Fees and Financial Aid

Not have enough knowledge and clarity about it. But surely there are some offered. People from lower middle class family unable to hold on to the expenses of college were offered the facility of loan by our college facility. Scholoarship was offererd to those who were in extremely excellent in their studies and from each department every year the this scholarship was extended to students in case they scored the highest in their class/department.

Campus Life

2

Everything is great about this college. Sports, theatre, dancing, debate, etc are some of the activities associated with our college. Its a girls college so being a girl I enjoyed a sense of freedom and sense of carelessness. Workshops were help time to time department wise and incorporates participation of various student inorganising it.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are really helpful and understanding. They helped in our curriculam. I was in contact with some of them and not all but as we say quanity doesnot matter. I found the help of our seniors really work in advantage for me as they guided me on how I should further proceed with my masters and where should I apply. Our seniors were helpful as they provided us with the neccessary ques that might come in our exams and reffered us some great books to see.

Admission

Political Science has always been my favourite subject and it was being offered to me in a well-known college of Delhi University. Getting admission here wasn't that difficult and I just had to come to the college, get my documents verified and the pay the fee online. The procedure is similiar to any other college in DU.

Faculty

4

The teachers were great especially of our department. For all the three years I didn't encourter even a single problem with any teacher. They were considerate for each of their student, taught us well and made sure we didn't have any problem in understandind difficult or new concepte by taking our extra classes if needed.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
