Review of NIT Kurukshetra

Overall it's a good college. In my opinion every one has positive and negative but there is no such big negative of my college. Good infrastructure good teacher good placement. College is good at almost all the other aspects

My branch specific is Mechanical engineering. I don't think that this course mainly focus on research but anyway it taught us many thing which also includes handling pressure. Other courses are also good like computer science and it also has higher placement.

Placements in NIT Kurukshetra are good for branches like computer science, IT and electrical. Our teacher of the heat transfer subject who is also the head of our training and placement cell said that CS and IT branches have 100% placements. However, around 35% of the students get placed from branches like civil and mechanical. The placement rate is increasing every year

The fest conducted in NIT Kurukshetra is the best. They organise events like Confluence, Anamika, Utkarsh and many others. Our campus is very beautiful, and there are trees all around the campus. Scholarships offered in NIT are very good, and they provide scholarships to all the students. You can check the official website to get any other details about scholarships.

Feasibile. There is criteria that a student whose parents have annual income less than 1 lac can submit less fees and hostel mess bill is also less as compared to other colleges. Hostel rent per semester is also less. Overall fee structure is feasible.

I haven't availed any scholarship till now but the college do have scholarship facility many students from school like Navodaya gets benefit from this. You can check the official website to get any other details about scholarships.

Gender ratio average. Various clubs do organize parties and trip or tour. SAE also do conduct some workshop for everyone related to machine engines. I haven't seen any kind of politics and economic status.

Hostel rooms are good, and they are enabled with LAN connection with unlimited internet facility. A big sports ground is available to play all sports like basketball and football, etc. The food available in the canteen is good. The only issue in the hostel is with the food. However, it's not that poor. Rooms are very spacious here.

Senior are very helpful here. You can interact with them any time anywhere. They are very supportive and they do listen to your problems and provide with helpful solution. Generally in 1sr year student are set to interact with seniors so that if they had any doubt they can ask.

To get admission in NIT KKR one have to clear JEE MAINS. Their is no interview for entrance. I personally liked engineering that's why I chose it. I do have options like bsc but I preferred engineering over it.

Faculty members of the mechanical department are not good. They have some issues with students. They don't teach well, and only one or two teachers take their job seriously. However, faculty members of the other branches are good. Our faculty are well-qualified, and you can know about them well by visiting the official website of NIT Kurukshetra. The main issues here is the student to faculty ratio is poor. The course curriculum is good, and it comprises of almost all the necessary concepts.
