Good College and Good opportunities

The college, on the whole, is a good place to get a quality education with good exposure to extracurricular activities.

We have eight semesters in total, and each semester has two sets of evaluations, internal and external. The internal evaluation includes small class tests, assignments, unit tests, projects, and quizzes. The external evaluation has practice exams and final exams. We have five to six subjects per semester. The curriculum is designed in such a way that we get to learn the subject and its an application in real life by means of projects, industrial visits.

Many leading technology companies like IBM, Google, Siemens and so on come for placement drives for electronics. Students need to qualify a test, followed by a group discussion followed by personal interviews for recruitment. Our institute has a special group that talks to the students, finds their interests and recommends companies for them.

There are three fests in total taking place in our college, each pertaining to different fields, one focussing on technical, one on cultural and one on sports and fitness. All three fests are organized on a big scale. We organize science exhibitions to promote innovations among the young generations.

Our program fee is 130000 per semester. College accepts DD, NEFT/RTGS, Net banking and online payment for the payment of fees. There are no additional fees other than the security deposit of 20000. The fees are quite nominal as compared to other private institutions. The college provides complete transparency with the fee structure.

I didn't opt for any scholarships or education loans. The college provides scholarships to meritorious students and deserving students.

Campus Life is great, the number of boys is slightly greater than the number of girls. A variety of students are found in the college, some good in academics and some in extracurriculars. There is no bullying of any sort on the campus. We also celebrate festivals like Lohri, Navratri and Ganesh Chaturthi.

The hostel is very good. It has three shared and two shared rooms. The rooms are well furnished and the hostels are quite neat and tidy. The servants come every day to clean the rooms and the corridors. We are also provided with four-time meals in the mess.

Seniors are very helpful as they prepare us for various competitions, they guide us with our projects and academics.

I had opted for this course as I wanted to study any stream related to technology whether it be electronics or computer science or information technology. I chose this institution as I always wanted to study in Pune and Symbiosis had its name in the field of electronics for years. When I visited their website, I was completely convinced to study in this college. When I had applied for college, the entrance exam was over. I had applied through my JEE score. After a few days, I received a confirmation email from the administration and then I was called to Pune, I had given the choice of courses and then I chose electronics.

There are tentatively 60 lecturers in my course having an average age of 45 and most of them have got a PhD in their course. They are well trained and skilled to teach the students to their level of understanding. They also help the students to find their area of research and discuss different innovative projects with them.
