The College, as well as the Hostel management, is great, the classes are regularly held, we have a green and clean campus.

The course curriculum and exam structure are good, it's relevant to what we need in the industry. A whole semester is dedicated to an Internship to get industrial exposure. There are industrial visits that happen too, even global exposure programs give students a good exposure. The institute has a very well organized Placement and training cell where all students of the 4th year are prepared for interviews through programs on technical and soft skills.

Placement companies like DELL, Microsoft, IBM, Siemens, HDFC, Bookmyshow, etc visit our college for hire. Every year about 80% of the students are placed. There are special training and placement cell of the college where students are made ready for interviews through practice programs, mock interviews, and sessions to brush their soft and technical skills.

SIT Pune has various clubs and co-curricular activities are always happening. We have all the major festivals celebrated here. Talking about the fests, there are 2 major Fests that happen each year REVERB (The cultural fest, Singing, dancing, acting, basically anything to show your talent). The TECH FEST ( different names for different dept). Prota (The sports event where students from different branches compete against each other in various sports events).

The college is transparent in the provision of the fee breakdown. The college fees are feasible. Mode of Payments accepted by the college is cheque and Online payment (NEFT). Each semester has a college fee and hostel fee ( in case you stay at a hostel). There are NO additional fees or charges that have to be paid to secure admission to the course.

No, I haven't applied for any scholarship during my college admission. But scholarships/rewards are given to students who excel in studies.

The Number of Male: Female is dominant towards male because females generally don't opt for engineering much. However, with each year, it's seen to be changing with more women coming in. We have interaction with not just SIT students but also students from other colleges like SSBS, SSCA, international students as we share the same campus, basic people from all race, religion, gender come along in symbiosis.

Hostel facilities are good, it's a three based sharing. Hot water comes for a specific period of hours. It's really safe and we have an in-timing for 10:30 pm/11 pm weekdays/Sunday. The rooms are tidy. There are laundry facilities available at a charge. All hostels have a common TV area, fridge, microwave, induction, Table tennis tables, etc. The sports field/courts are near the hostel. The mess and the Mess food is clean.

I am the Alumni Committee head myself. We have the alumni meet that is entirely organized by the students under the supervision of a faculty head. We have Alumni coming in for guest lectures, buddy sessions, etc. College Seniors are people you look forward to for any help. Anything that bothers you, they are there to help.

I got admission through the MHCET exam, however, there are 3 ways to get admissions in total, 1.MHCET exam 2. JEE MAINS 3. SITEEE (sit engineering entrance exam).

Faculty of the college is well qualified, from Ph.D., MBA, M.TECH, etc. The number of lecturers in the CS-IT department are approx. 20-30. The teaching methodology used by them is a blend of practical learning, guest lectures, and classroom teaching. Teachers are supportive and knowledgeable.
