Overall it's a great place to be, where you can develop as an individual instead of just getting a degree. It gives you great exposure right beginning from 1st year. If resources and facilities are utilized properly will definitely shape you to face the challenges of life.

Overall the curriculum is well designed inclined towards research and we do have courses with labs, without labs. Most of the research takes place in BSBE, chemical engineering when campared with other branches During the 1st year the schedule is very hectic(8am -5pm) with high credits and from then depends on the department. Exams pattern in semester: 1. Quiz-1 (10%) 2. Midsem(30%) 3. Quiz-2 (10%) 4. End sem(50%) This will be the weightage for most of the courses, sometimes projects carry certain weightage.

Placement and Job opportunities are high with overall placement of B.Tech and B.Des students is 84.30% and M.Tech and M.Des students is 52.17%. Yes, our college do provide internship during pre-final year. However, we are not allowed to disclose the name of the companies and stipend they offer owing to strict CCD policies of our campus.

Techniche(Technical fest) : Techniche is one of India's Largest Techno-Management Festivals & a Non-Profit Organization spread over 3 days and 4 nights with a reach of thousands of colleges and school students from across the country, Techniche plays a phenomenal role in the bringing out the true potential of the nation's best and promoting technological and social betterment.(Foot fall of 30k) 2. Alcheringa (Cultural-fest): one of the biggest college level socio-cultural fest in India and is by far the largest college cultural festival of North-East India with a mammoth footfall of 100,000 and participation from over 450 colleges across India. 3. Udgam: It was conceptualized to develop and spread the spirit of entrepreneurship among the youth of the North-East, and India in general.

MCM(Merit cum Means) is the mostly availed scholarship in the institute, apart institute merit scholarship( where only branch toppers avails) All the banks they do setup installs and give instant loans during the registrations of new joinees.

Gender Ratio - 1:10 Workshops - They are held in all the fields be it academics, sports, cultural and technical Student Diversity - Students are across all over the India from every state. Central Library - Which remains open (8am -2pm) and 24*7 during exams. Student Ghymkhana council - Every year elections are conducted for various posts(Vice president, welfare secretary, Technical secretary, sports secretary, senators.) where elected canditates act as a bridge between students and management. Apart from there are intra-hostel competitions where all the hostels fight against each other in the area of sports, cultural and technical competitions to win GC(General championship) which is very fun

As per the university rules every student has to reside inside the campus i.e hostels. we do 14 hostels(11 boys + 2 girls + 1 married scholars) each student is given individual room right at the joining which has mess at every hostel

Seniors are very helpful in every aspect where most of the opportunities can be heard of be it in academics, professional and personal life. We do have SAIL(student alumni Interaction linkage) which connects students and alumni where you can seek personal advice with seniors who are working across various sectors. In a simple words 'Bonds that can be cherished forever'

A candidate need to crack IIT-JEE which is of 2 phases 1. JEE -Mains 2. JEE- Advanced For JEE-Mains nearly 15 lakhs students appear out of which first 1.5 lakh students are eligible for JEE-Advanced, and finally out of 1.5 lakh students who gave JEE-Advanced nearly about 10k students can get admissions to into IIT's as per the ranking. I had secured 8242 rank in JEE-Advanced and my plan was to study in top 7 IIT's. Hence, I choose BSBE in IIT-Guwahati as that was the only branch i was getting.

Every professors are highly qualified with PHD and Post-Doc also sometimes experience as Teaching assistant prior to joining. Most of the faculty do not teach with passion just they read out the slides. However, they are extraordinary in their personal research.
