Review about my college

Everything, college offers gym, tennis ground, 9 field for open sport , Table tennis, carrom and much more. Not labs but workshop is a part of course. We have carpentry, welding, machine, black smithy, sheet metal, moduling.

Full time engineering course. It includes physics, chemistry, mathematics, english in the first year with various labs.Mechanical engineering subjects like Strength of materials, mechanics of materials, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, machine drawing, engineering drawing, production technology etc. with economics & accountancy and C, C++ was in the curriculum from 2nd to 4th year.The course also includes various types of workshops in 3rd and 4th year.A project of Design and development of Windmill for water pumping was done by me in the final year.Exam structure was tough. Exams and labs were conducted at every six months, i.e. after end of a semester.

Placement and job opportunities are average. It changes from year to year and depends on the capability and activeness of the "Training and Placement Cell" in the college. Various Govt. PSU's (like ONGC, NRL etc.) had also conducted campus interview's in our college during my tenure. Also, software giants like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Tata Technologies etc had conducted campus interviews and recruited many students.

Ishan uday is most common. other than that AICTE scholarships, TEQIP funds and scholarships. MLA scholarship and one scholarship is given by OIL Assam LTD. Other than that,many national level scholarship students can apply for. Must say college verification is soo fast.

All events are celebrated. Actually it gives us very much confidence to say that.we have been organising international events like yoga day, womans day etc. and diwali is centrally celebrated. local celebration also competitions on youth festival etc is organised.

It's good. First we feel nervous and it's easy to adjust. All hostel have some rule otherwise it's dangerous to control it's seniors hostel teacher good. Experience with the college seniors was fantastic and response from them is very positive always. The alumni meet is organised by the present welfare committee periodically. Most of the past students who are in the nearby radius never miss the alumni meet. Even, the alumni those are at abroad try and attend the function on few occasions. The seniors and alumni who are presently the apex level officers in various organizations always forwarded a helping hand in the way of donations etc. for development of the college and even for various cultural activities to be organized. My experience withe seniors is very exciting as often i met some one of them always treat me as a younger brother and closest friend rather than a college junior. We have parties outside and also inside the campus/hostels we ever we met and get and opportunity for that.

For Jorhat Engineering college Admission test, candidates successfully crack the CEE (Common Entrance Examination) or Lateral Entrance Examination held by DTE, Assam. Age of candidates must be between 17 to 21 years till August 2019. Upper Age relaxation for SC and ST is 22 years

They are great mentors with full of technical knowledge. Every faculty was a master in their own discipline. The way of explanation was extremely good which makes a tough subject much easier to understand. Above all, they are very co-operative and helpful to the students in each and every steps
