Remarks

I think infrastructure can be improved a bit and make it more hygienic to give better surroundings to students. Availability of more classrooms and furniture should also be there with the allotment of halls and rehearsal area to each society.

Entrance Preview

I got my admission on the basis of my CBSE result, I scored 94.5% with humanities background i have always been interested in literature. So BA program is the course which allows you to choose more than one subject and you have the opportunity of learning different foundation courses each smemster.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Each student has to choose two main discipline subjects with one language and one foundation course each year. People who want to drop language and opt for the 3rd displcipline course can also do that, obviously few conditions applied and that subject is considered in lieu of the language one. You always have various option in the foundation courses which makes it even more interesting.

Internships Opportunities

BA programme, is a not an honors course like it doesn't provide you with a single speciality so a person has to know about in which field they have to go so that they know where to apply for the internships. Also, knowing about the future plans can help in choosing of the disciplines.

Placement Experience

2.5

Economics dept is very famous for the placement and college separately has "placement cell" also for the better guidance of the students. Packages like 6 lakh - 10 lakh are very well expected.

College Events

4.5

College has its own set of festivals starting with freshers, separate dept freshers, annual fest and different feativals organized by each co curricular society.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Kirorimal being a government college the fees is really very affordable, it is 8000 for each year, with separate 500rs for examination fees. Rest, books are available from everywhere and usually the reference book and stuff like that is provided by the teachers. It is all very reasonable in comparison to other colleges and private universities. In Delhi university people come from all the backgrounds so everything is fixed keeping that in mind.

Fees and Financial Aid

Not really scholarships about which I know but yes various competitions are there and students can always try for such scholarships on there own outside college and if any sort of recommendation is needed from college you can very easily get it.

Campus Life

3.5

This campus life is worth experiencing my each and everyone and it gets even more excited with the feat season and inter college competitions. It helps every individual to grow and become Independent. Also meeting new people, knowing you are responsible for your own self and there is not going to be any spoon feeding like it used happen in school helps in growing mentally

Hostel Facilities

3.5

College provides with the boys hostel which is within campus and 2 canteens, which are pocket friendly and hygienic.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students and alumni both are very well connected and acts like second parents once you enter college, especially for the freshers. Aluminis are always a great help for the society people since they go out and make contacts and obviously learn at a better stage so they very happily come back to share all of that with there teams.

Exam Structure

There are internals which take place throughout the year followed by assignments and presentations. Then at the end of each semester there are external exams which are the annual exams.

Faculty

4.5

Kirorimal, being obviously one of the top colleges has a terrific faculty. English dept being at the top my personal favorite. Not just academically but college has amazing societies such as dance, music, debate which are also handled by both the faculty and students.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
