The environment at IITs is very competitive, more than the curriculum you learn from the people around mostly your seniors and peers. The course structure is divided into 8 semesters of almost 4 months each. The Autumn semester starts mid-July and ends late November. The spring semester starts early January and ends early May.

Great job opportunities are provided by the training and placement office more than 200 companies visit the campus for placements. Yes a compulsory internship has to be done after 3rd year. you can get it from placement cell, off-campus, and department in PSUs.

All festivals: some students are not able to visit home so a small celebration is done on campus. Intra college sports, cultural and technical meets. Cognizance (Tech fest). Thomso(Cultural fest). E Summit (Entrepreneurial fest). National Social Summit. Inter IIT Meets.

Tution fee INR 1, 00, 000 per sem. Total approx INR 1, 30, 000 per sem. Feasible for students as those who can not afford it can apply for Merit cum means scholarship. Students can also avail of interest-free loans.

Merit comes means scholarship. 2/3 fee waiver for people with family income less than INR 5, 00, 000. 100% fee waiver for people with family income less than INR 1, 00, 000. Heritage Scholarship - almost 40 awards of INR 10, 000 each to students.

Decent hotel and mess facility. 13 Hostels serving the needs of almost 4000 students daily. 2 Girls hostel kasturba and Sarojini bhawan. Recently one coed hostel is also constructed and has a capacity of 1000 students. The others are boys hostel.

Yes, we have a great alumni network and IARC (institute alumni relationship cell) maintains the records and conducts various alumni meet. We have a student mentorship program for healthy junior-senior interaction.

Every year JEE ADVANCED is conducted through which admission in various IITs is done according to merit. After clearing the exam you are supposed to fill in preferences, after that, you are allotted college and branch according to rank and choice.

Qualification - PhD + Post doc. Various from professor to professor how interested the professor is in teaching the course. In the case of some course, you absolutely do not want to miss a single class, for some you do not want to go at all.
