NIT Kurukshetra college review

The placement are pretty good and a person is sure to get a job if he is good in academics thouroughout his/her undergrad and has good communication skills. The only downside about our college is that the classroom and hostel infrastructure is not great

The course curriculum is more of theory based with a few practical lab sessions every year.We have 2 mid semester exams and one semester exam every semester and the sessions were not very hectic. The research in my department is not great.

The placements are pretty good if not great though at least in my department and there are a few internship opportunities available thourough college and the average stipend is around Rs 20000/ month. But, the placements are very good in the computer science and Information technology department and also there are tremendous internship opportunities too.

We have one tech fest called as techspardha and and cultural fest called confluence which take once in an year. The fests are not very big in terms of scale but they are pretty decent with participations coming from many nearby colleges in Haryana and Delhi.

The fee is pretty feasible during my time of admission back in 2014. The semester fee is about Rs 43000 per semester. The hostel mess fee is charged on monthly basis depending on meals consumption for that month. The charges were fixed for a day independent of number of meals consumed in a day.

I don't have much idea about loans and scholarships as I have not availed one. But, there are many loans and scholarship available externally and also loans can be availed from SBI bank which is located on campus at low interest rates for people having good academics

Yes, we have annual sports meet in college and also many inter college sports and athletics events are held in our college every year. We have many students cultural clubs and technical societies which organize events during our college fests. We have students from many countries studying here.

The hostel infrastructure is pretty decent. We have LAN connection in every room. The rooms are not very well maintained and are just decent. We get a room on 3 sharing basis in first year and a single room for the rest thouree years of undergrad. We have common washourooms in every hostel and there is not option for attached bathouroom in student hostels. We have sufficient rooms in our hostels so there is no need to look for accommodation outside the campus.

Yes, we have an alumni network which is getting better day by day and senior are very helpful in assisting us in our job search. We also have an official alumni website and there are many alumni chapters which organize meetups at different locations thouroughout the year. We also have a global alumni meet which is organized once in two years by the Alumni association.

I got into the college based on the rank secured by me in JEE Mains Entrance exam. I chose this course as i have interest in this course and also the faculty of my department are pretty good and my college has good placements.

The professors and other permanent faculty in my department are very well versed and are good at teaching. But, the contractual faculty are not good in teaching the subject and they are not very well informed in the subject.
