Review of college

Practical education can be improved.encouraging students towards extra curriculum activities can play a great role in personality development. Training and placement cell should need to be more active.

Course syllabus is designed with very much care and covers all required subjects in the field of biochemical and biotechnology field. Exams are not that frequent 2 class tests and one final exam per semester with few lab subjects.labs are not that frequent too.

Placements from college can be count as nill as college is situated in hilly area so many companies prefer to skip this college as it is hard to reach and there are also no internship opportunities also.

There are mainly two fests are conducted in our college 1- cultural fest 'scintilla' and 2- sports fest 'spardha' few years back there was a cultural fest was also organized named as 'aarohan' but due to administrative reasons that stopped 5 years ago.

Around 32000/- per semester, hostel fee-13000/- per sem. For tfw students semester fee is around 8000 rupee for btech students. For Mtech fee is around 40000 rupee per sem. For MCA the fee per sem is around 38000 rupee.

Top 3-5 students of each branch get 3000/- rupee per sem. Then there is scholarship for sc, st and obc and kashmiri students which can vary from 30000 to 75000. No other scholorship programs are available as per my knowledge.

Majority of students are from hindu background but student from other religion are also present here. There is atleast 1 workshop is arranged by college every year. There are 2 ground for cricket, football and running, 1-1 for volleyball, basketball and tennis.

Hostel fee is around 13000 rupee per semester and rooms are based on sharing type. Rooms in few hostels are made for 3-4 students and few are for 2 students. In this hostel fee food is also included.

Interaction with seniors is not that much great here there is a whatsapp group and a group on almaconnect for reaching the alumni. Alumni are helpful to the every extent they can to help and guide for juniors future.

I got admission in this college on spot round counseling based on jee mains score. In spot round of counscelling there were limited seats and i was left with only two options biocemical engineering and chemical engineering, i was not 1 percent interesed in chemical but biochemical engineering was looking promising so i choose biochemical engineering as it is an emerging field in india

All faculties are well qualified for their job as they have M.tech degree and many have Phd too in their respective field. Few faculty members are arranged by TEQIP. TEQUIP stands for technical education quality improvement programme which has great influence in our college.
