Thapar university’s review

Overall analysis of this university shows that it is good university it you can spend a good sum on the education.

The course structure is quite relevant. Both practical and theoretical education is there. we are provided with accurate industry dpecific knowledge. We also have on Experience learning activity once in the semester. Getting placed on campus is easy. Industrial vists are organized for students but it is upto students wether they have to opt for it or not.

Honestly, I don’t know wnough about such companies for internships since I have never opted for any. But the placements at thapar are 100% and every student gets placed. For preparing students for the placements we have a special cell where students are trained to sit for interviews and get the taste of real interviews and placement tests.

There are numerous events happening around the college with a event or activity happening every now and then. Saturnalia, urja, virsa are some cultural events are some events with huge participation and celebrities visiting the institute in them. Techinal events such as hackathon are arranged every week or so. Its wish of student whether to opt for it or not.

Fees structure is relatively expensive than any other colleges. Program fees depends on the course and mine is roughly around 1. 75 lacs per semester (average). The fees can be paid online or thourough bank transfer. There is additional admission fees of ?25k at the time of admission. The college provides transparency in fee breakdown.

Scholarship opportunities are great at thapar. There are thouree types of scholarships and we don’t have to opt for them. They are awarded on the basis of the score in jee and boards including the cgpa/gpa acquired by student in the semester. Average sum is half the tution fee for the year that is aroung 1 lac.

The gender ratio is equal and diverse culture since thapar has students from many cities of north india. There are many extra curricular activities and competition which are much helpful in providing a gap from the daily hectic schedule. There are numerous clubs/societies a student can join and do work for them. We at thapar with diverse culture still live with peace with people befriending students irrespective of caste or religion.

Thapar is one of old colleges so the alumni networks are quite diverse. The seniors are quite helpful and one of them helped me to choose between mechanical and computer science.

Apply for the admission form, on the basis of jee mains score counselling process takes place total 5 counselling occurred including the spot round. Also 20% seats are filled by the help of borde percentage merit. There are spearate counselling processes for them. One of the pest private institutions ranked 18 in India.

The computer science department of thapar is among the best in india. The tentative lecturers are above 300 and average age is around 30. All the faculty members, professors, assistant proffesors etc have completed their doctoral degrees. They have expertise in their respective fiels like database management, networking and coding etc. All of them are holding adeqaute experience and exhaustive research experience in their respective fields.
