Remarks

College management is as good as that of any government institute - however here they are kore inclined to work, and are very helpful. Transparent process and students are notified of all developments.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course Curriculum is fairly straightforward. The first year is common - which is relevant, then you move on to your department which makes for a specialised coursework and research work.many courses are oriented specifically towards research and require a certain amount of lab work. So there's a holistic development of an individual.

Placement Experience

4.5

Internships are easy and available, and many students often opt out of it because of better research facilities within the institute which are open for all. Placements are open for all, and many students grab huge packages and do well in all the fields that they work in. Around 70% students get placed, 20% opt for higher studies, the rest go towards entrepreneurship.

College Events

4.5

Mood Indigo - Asia's largest college cultural festival Techfest - Technical festival ESummit - Entrepreneurship festival Abhyuday - Social Festival Performing Arts Festival, Surbahaar, Izhaar, Union Debate, Theatre Fest, Annual InSync Dance Show Anyone can participate in any or all of them.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive, but a lot of students - nearly half, avail the fee waiver because of either reservation or because they belong to economically weaker sections of the society. It's easily available, and highly recommended. There are no hidden fees, and the institute is very transparent.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes. Student loans are easily available from within the campus by both SBI and Canara Bank, at a very reduced rate and easy repayment methods. No guarantee is required in either of the cases.

Campus Life

4.5

Gender ratio is skewed, just because of the gender ratio appearing for the entrance exam. Student diversity is immense, with people coming in from all backgrounds, and there's no discrimination whatsoever. Extracurricular activities are open for all, and all sports, cultural, and competitions are among the best in the world.

Hostel Facilities

4

Yes,it's compulsory for all UG and PG students. There is no shortage of hostels, and the fees is not exorbitant. All hostels have housekeeping services, laundry, wifi, lounges, and basic amenities along with sports equipment and cultural equipment as well

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni are extremely welcome, well placed and well established. They often help out the college with their donations and trust funds. Senior Students are friendly, and there is no concept of calling them Sir/Ma'am. They help out juniors in all aspects of their student lives.

Admission

IIT JEE Advanced Clear both stages of JEE, and secure a top rank, you get it. Although this becomes quite tough, it's not impossible to achieve. Why you choose this institution is very obvious - it's the best tech school in all of the country. Plus it offers a wide range of extra curricular activities and inter disciplinary research.

Faculty

5

Best in their field. All of them are acclaimed scientists and researchers and have achieved significant milestones in their field. They are a mixture of old and young, and many of them bring with them industry experience as well. Every department has atleast one backup professor for each course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
