Remarks
My college management was fine keeping in mind the frequent incidents of violence, strikes and dharnas. However, the administration was not very supportive when it came to submitting the fee on time or providing admit cards and certificates on time.
Entrance Preview
My admission in the Delhi University on the merit basis that is on percentage cut-off basis. I also got a 5 percent rebate in women quota.
Course Curriculum Overview
It was good, detailed. There were several subjects with importance of their own. It included almost every dimension of the subject in sync with the development down the years.
Internships Opportunities
There was no college internship available so there was no question of stipend. Also, even in professional courses like Economics honours, there were hardly any such internship opportunity.
Placement Experience
There was no placement or job opportunity at my college as my course was not a professional one. However, there were a few opportunities for the courses like B.Com and Economics honours.
College Events
The college had several events throughout the year. It included a college freshers party, a departmental freshers party, a farewell party, a union party, university fests and college fest. There was also a drama fest and street dancing competition.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure was affordable as it had the support of he government. The total fee of the course was about 20,000 which was very less in comparison to the private colleges.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college did not provide any scholarship but the very talented students were honoured with gold and silver medals by the university. Also, the fee of the students from the lower economic class was forgiven.
Campus Life
The campus life was wonderful. There was a wonderful canteen which provided food on affordable rates. There was a very big ground, a big library, an auditorium, labs and much more. However, the computer lab was not of much use and there was no wi-fi.
Hostel Facilities
The PG facility was to be opted as the hostels were not available. The food was not that good at the PG but was atleast bearable in comparison to the nearby accommodations.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is widely diverse as some students have made their careers while some of them could not do much instead of just pass out with a degree.
Exam Structure
The exam structure was fine. There used to annual exams besides internals. This also included theory marks, practical marks and attendance marks.
Faculty
They were highly qualified - all PhDs and took classes regularly. They were the best teachers I ever had. But one of my teachers went on a sabbatical midway and there was no teacher in her place.
