Entrance Preview

It was on basis of 12th score. There was no interview. On basis of 12th score we could get into it.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It used to come under Pune university so there was nothing more than normally what a BCom course would offer. So the course was same as other colleges which came under Pune university for B.com.

Internships Opportunities

We did not had any internship as we were already occupied with out CA course in addition to BCom. College timing was early morning which helped us in doing our ca internship and classes.

Placement Experience

3.5

Well again I was doing Ca. So this question I guess is irreverent for me. However my friends who just did BCom got places pretty well in MNC wth package of 3.6 + some even got opportunity outside India in Singapore.

College Events

4.5

There were hell loads of events which used to happen. They were quite happening even welcoming Freshers and all.Events were fun filled and those were the days no one used to miss and would have had 100% attendance .

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship taken so have no idea about it. Usually BCom course is not that expensive so haven't also heard from anyone who actually got scholarship for the course.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life was amazing. This was one of the main factor why people use to join symbiosis. The college is not all about studies studies and studies. There were many parties and workshops. The sex ratio was also descent enough making the college life interesting.

Exam Structure

Exams again come under Pune university so would say it was not much different from other colleges. However, we had internal exams which really used to test your knowledge and ensured you clear final university exam with top colours.

Faculty

4

Faculty was good. We had professors having very rich experience and some them were well known for their writings. Most of the professors were Phd. They weRe quite friendly if you had any doubts.

Placement Experience:

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
