Remarks

The university was established in 1981 by an act called Vidyasagar university act after the name of Pandit Ishwar Chandra Bandyopadhyay, the educationist and social worker of West Bengal. The study centers are spread all over West Bengal.

Course Curriculum Overview

Courses offered are M.sc. in environmental science, zoology, botany, physics, geography, etc. All the courses are properly designed and the syllabus for both parts I and II are very well structured. Exams are carried out at the study centers.

Placement Experience

You get a number of job opportunities after you have M.sc. from such a prestigious university. It is one of the top universities in eastern India. A wide range of opportunities are available in the field of education.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is about 20000 Indian rupees for each part(There are two parts in M.sc. parts I and II). You have to give an additional 6000 of you are a sponsored candidate. Renew charges are 7000. Late admission charges are 300 rupees.

Campus Life

Examinations and lab works are carried out at the study centers. There is not any kind of discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, religion among the students. All the study centers are well equipped with all the study materials.

Placement Experience:

Actually this is a general degree University , so I must mention that placement facalities are not so good. But yes , Job Fair is organised in University by some external agencies which offer jobs varying 2-2.5 lakhs per annum . But in the university most of the students do not accept that jobs. Half of the students are more interested on the higher studies. So ahet completing the fourth semester they prepare for PhD. And the another half are preparing for central government sponsored exams like CGL, CHSL, RRB, SBI , IBPS, LIC etc. University has a significant number of students who have qualified for Government Competitive exams.

The affordablity of this course and i want to dive in research so the faculties are so much capable and i believe thatwith their help i will fulfill my goal . Placement Experience:

Actually Some of the Local Companies & Private banks Offer placements which are averagely worth 250000/-. Some of the Students appear for it , but the Number is Very less. Actually In Present Circumstances , Most students wants a stable Government, Especially Central Gov job . So they Prepare for exams like SSC , SBI , IBPS, LIC , RRB etc.

Niper Kolkata: from starting to end

Placement Experience:

2nd year students are eligible for the campus placement. Sai, Hetero, mendine, dr. Reddys etc companies visities for the campus placement. Offers ranges from 5-12 lpa. 60% students gets placed, 10% goes for higher studies and others get job off campus in my department. Other departments has 100% placement. My plans are pHd from Niper as it provides vast knowledge and instrumental exposure.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My decision to choose this course depended on the fact that this course provides you with the opportunity to get various jobs in the industries with a high lpa. But this college does not help much in that aspect. All I had to do was myself. It is my humble opinion that the institution should improve its guidance in the area of its teaching methods. The exams were twice a year and were quite difficult on their own.

A Nurturing Place to Learn and Thrive

Placement Experience:

From the 2nd last semester, that is the final year, students become eligible for campus placements. Last year, two of our seniors got placed at Reborn Child Development Centre (Durgapur and Asansol) with an average package of Rs 200,000. This year, three students of our batch, including me, got an internship for three months at Reborn through an in-person interview.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4.
