Course Curriculum Overview

5

Sanskrit is the main subjects, we have 8 paper per semester totally there are other subjects as well as mathematics, computer, Environmental studies and Yoga. We have two semester exams per year. Classes are from 8-5, the teachers are very good so the classes do not seem so boring.

Placement Experience

4

Internship in private organizations is not possible as this is a central government college, as far a placement are concerned for UG, there are no companies as of now but for PhD and B.Ed, there are government opportunities as teachers and professors. The students become so capable that they can get into any off-campus placements if they are willing to.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is only 900 per year, a total of only Rs. 2,700 for the entire course. Anyone can afford this sum, as this is a central govt. the college that fee is less, in private college it is very high. There are also scholarships for students of a good academic record of Rs. 300-600. The hostel fee and the mess fee is also less, they cost Rs. 2000 and Rs. 1500 respectively.

Campus Life

4

We have participated in many sports competition, national-level ones and won many prizes, the college encourages us to do so. We celebrate all kinds of festivals in here, Holi, Sarawati pooja etc., as there are students from all the states we all live here in harmony, there is no kind of discrimination among us.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

We have a total of 5 hostels for the boys and 3 hostels for girls. We have all the facilities at a very feasible price, three times food in the hostel mess, it is very nutritious, The rooms are very big, we live in sharing basis, yet the place is big enough for us to live. It is a very good and peaceful place to study.

Admission

I got here based on my school marks. The student should have compulsorily has Sanskrit as a subject in his/her school. The college has an entrance exam exclusively, after completing the entrance exam, if you have cleared, you will be called for an interview, after which the admission process like document verifications will be done.

Faculty

4.5

Our faculties are gems, they are highly qualified and knowledgable people, they teach us very nicely and clear our doubts then and there, they do not rush up last hour and finish the portions within the given time. They keep the classes lively all the time, there isn't a moment of dullness in any of their classes.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
