General review of university

The management is supportive of students ana once a student enters he would never think of leaving the college.

Course is easy, it is for research field, profesor, assustant professor, this is very good, after 12th science students can join through exam, this course is semester based course in which we have ten semesters, for first two sem we both pcb & pcm need to study all subjects maths and bio and in third semester we can take our interested subjects.

Although I have not availed any internship as my course did not had any however, Thapar provides a wide range or internships and placements for mechanical engineering different companies like maruti hero Isro etc provide placements for graduates.

Technical fest, cultural fest, diwali night, virsa, thapar olympics, oorja, dj night, mun society, cultural society, NSS, environmental society, each function is unique and provides a great variety in terms of events and exposure. In mechanical specially there is a group called team fateh they build race cars and provide vast exposure.

Fee is bit high the fee can be paid by online net banking credit card debit card paytm or can be deposited at the bank. For the first semester of my PhD I paid 54000, for the next semester I paid 34400, for third and fourth semester I paid 36400, fifth and sixth semester fee was 40400 and seventh eighth semester I paid 44000

I got a scholarship of 25000 for my course. Phd students are all give stifund although college has great scholarship programs for graduates also. The toppers get a reduction in fee and various other scholarships can be availed.

Students all over the country and some foreign students also study at the college in terms of diversity a great diversity can be seen in the campus. For sports institute provides wig badminton courts tennis courts basketball courts cricket ground swimming pool and a synthetic track all race and religion students study here and gender ratio is almost equal.

No, hostels were a little expensive for me. Monthly cost of hostel is about 8000 pm however a two student shared pg can be easily availed at about 2000 pm a student. An eat food at the hostel mess irrespective of if he is a hosteler or not.

Thapar has great alumini the institute stands for more than 60 years i guess that speaks for itself. Seniors always provide with guidance on how to face certain problems

Because this is five year course integrated course, i am in cbs(center for basic sciences) in this brach we came through and enterance exam which is for both pcb & pcm, merit students are selected every year i also got 6th rank and get admission, here we get monthly Rs 5000 scholarship.

For faculty they take 3 lectures per day of 1 hr, and faculty are all net & set qualified & P.hd also it is must,they have to teach us friendly and precisely, they have must be knowledge of laboratory of thier specific subjects and can guide students for their safety and precautions.
