Course Curriculum Overview
The course and Curriculum is good it also has many research related opportunities. Also there are many programmes conducted regarding carrier and future planing and even placement cell plays a big role. Industrial visit are also planned to shows students how the industry actually works and to give students brief idea about industries.
Placement Experience
Borosil, Azelis etc are the companies that visit campus for placement drivrs. The steps followed in recruitment is interview based and also depends on grades. Generally 70%-85%students are placed every year from campus. The college also has a placement cell which guides students regarding placements.
College Events
Guru Nanak Khalsa college's main event or the fest is Nazarana which is held in the month of January for 3 days. The fest includes cultural events, technical events etc. Also each department has its own departmental festival for instance The Biotechnology Department has Biofiestia.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is feasible. Students has to pay fees online via debit/ credit card or can pay via cash. No additional charge are trained to secure admission to a particular course. Also the college provides transparency in fee breakdown. Also fees depends on various courses.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholorships are given to students whose family income are below 3 lakhs and has 60% + in the previous semester. The scholarship forms are available online and also fee redemption are given to students of reserved catogery whose forms are available online. Generally 30-40% fees are refunded.
Campus Life
In the college campus students does their free time with their groups chilling making new friends or by enjoying food in canting, currently the canteen is under construction. Gender rato is almost equal and never seen any kind of discrimination on the basis of gender, caste, race or colour. Also there are many extracurricular activities like Natyashria, Nss unit etc
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni and college seniors were always been helpful in every other ways. There is also a special program for alumni every year in which the alumni share there experience and gives the students life advices
Admission
I got to this college through merit list according to HSC board percentage. The admission process is very easy. I opted for this course from Guru Nanak Khalsa College because I had heard about a good faculty in department and also had interest in this couse.
Faculty
Students can assess their faculty any time in college hrs. Generally 3-4 hr a day are regular lecture timings and practicals on some days according to batches. All the faculty are well experience with many PHd holders and with masters degree. They aslo are very subject oirented and help every student.
