Remarks

Studying in one of the oldest institutes of Asia is a dream come true you become part of a 150-year-old legacy. Also, students here are the brightest people in our country so living among them you feel yourself grow mentally and intellectually.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Our curriculum is one of the latest among all the IITs although we lack a lot of faculty to teach those courses because of Roorkee being in a remote location and less no of qualified individuals to get into iit.In our curriculum start studying core car subjects from first sem compared to other IITs where the first sem all branches have the same course. We have a lot of industry-oriented courses where we are taught how a software development corporate environment works. There is also a industrial trip as our course.we are given a lot of research problems as our course assignment and projects.

Placement Experience

5

Placement and internship in our college is as good as it gets in any engineering college. we begged around 500 intern offers and around 1500 placement offers. Placement is almost closed to 100 %. I myself begged an SDE intern in Amazon. There are plenty of international offers as well. with the highest international offer made of around 1.5 crores per annum and the highest domestic of 60 lakhs per annum. we have plenty of international and domestic research interns and placement also.

College Events

5

We have plenty of cultural, technical and athletic fests For cultural there is thomso a three-days cultural fest with a footfall of over 10000 and a lot of events. For technical we have cognizance a three-day technical fest where a lot of workshops, competition, lectures events, and three pronites are held. we also have Sangram our sports fest. Srishti our annual technical exhibition.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Approximately Rs. 10 Lakhs for four years for general category students. The fees is slightly lesser for the students with parents earning less than 5 lakhs per annum. If you belong to SC St obc etc. Categories, the fees will be much lesser (no tuition fees i.e. almost Rs. 2.5 lakhs lesser than 10 Lakhs) But on an average Rs 60000 for a semester including both hostel and tuition fee for students whose parents income is between 1 lac and 5 lac. But for a student having parents income less than 1 lac, it is around Rs40000

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes I have got a scholarship from mp governmentedhavi chatre yojna due to my score in 12 board they pay my tuition fee but I have to pay mess, hostel, and other allowance

Campus Life

5

My experience in college life has been pretty great. We have zero restrictions on any timings on hostel or campus any can roam in or out of campus at any time. even girls have been allowed now after a protest a few years back. The girl's ratio is very bad about 10:1 in my bat h but it has improved after the introduction of girls reservation in new batches. In my batch, there is three girls in a batch of 78. We have a club for almost everything you can think of you name it we have it example software development, machine learning, robotics, debate, dance quiz, cultural, cinematography, cooking, cubing, motorsport, various sports, etc. We have various programs for International students so there is a significant no of international students.

Alumni/Alumna

Our college senior is very helpful and you can just approach them for almost anything. There is zero raggings in our campus so no fear is there for seniors in the first years. There is a chapo culture where juniors ask for chapo from any senior ( chapo is institute slang for treat/party derived from chai pakoda). We are also not allowed to call our seniors by sir or mam we need to address them by their name hence no sir mam culture. The college that is more than 150 years has a huge alumni network our alumni are almost present in every field and are very helpful.

Admission

On the basis of the JEE advanced score. I prepared for two years in class 11 and 12 for the entrance of Engineering Colleges I'm our country that is jee. Took dummy school for 11 and 12. Then after 12 th boards gave JEE main, cleared it then gave JEE advanced and got a descent rank to get iit Roorkee CSE.

Faculty

3.5

Our college have two kinds of faculty one is old, experienced and are experts in their field and another one is new recruits who are just joining teaching after Ph.D., they have their own way of teaching although some of them are not good at teaching they might be good in their subject. we lack a lot of faculty to teach those courses because of Roorkee being in a remote location and less no of qualified individuals to get into iit.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is highly relevant, focusing on practical knowledge for real-world prep, though more hands-on application and updated content would strengthen it. Exams occur 6 times yearly; they are tough but fair for the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .
