College is as good as you are. If you want to kill your time, its a best place. If you want to do a proper Post graduation and want lot of time for self study, again it is the best place.
Entrance Preview
AIEEE 31000 Rank Had Option of all other colleges from Uttarakhand Technical University & UPTU.Have only 60 students in each branch, only two branches CSE & ECE, so proper focus given. Also Its a sister concern of BIT Ranchi.
Course Curriculum Overview
Affiliated to uttarakhand technical university and so the curriculum was same as all the other colleges affiliated from the same university.CSE is a complete combination of Software and hardware and so we had a lot of common subjects with ECE branch of our college.First year is common for all branches and so we had the same at our college too.
Internships Opportunities
we had to do internship in our 3rd year of B.tech for 2 months. Mostly in B.tech it is just a formality and so i would not like to boast about or disclose from where i did that. In 4th year we had to submit a project also but again that was more of a formality.
Placement Experience
Our Batch got 90% placed sooner or later. Some of us including me got more than 3 offer letters also. It all depends on the individual. Our batch got the least companies, after 2010, all batches from BIAS have got proper placements and companies.
College Events
There is a spectrum event planned every year and that is the biggest event for the college. It is of mediocre level and some other colleges also perform of nearby area. Some other societies are there like the sahitya parishad and all that also organizes events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
fee structure is very feasible. It is not a college with a too much of pomp and show and so is the fee structure. It's affordable for all. College is run by the trust of birla's and so is a no profit venture.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship and loan facilites are available as for all the other colleges also. No special mention for the general category. However the SC, ST and OBC had a very good scholarship format.
Campus Life
extracurricular, labs, sports, competitions such as robotics, debates etc were all mediocre. You can play if you wish to cricket any time of the day, other than that there was no game organized by the college.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel was of good quality and the rooms were also good and spacious.Mess food is one of the best i have seen. As far as the average rental and the amount to be paid for the mess food goes that was also very very affordable.
Alumni/Alumna
Facebook and stuff have kept it alive. However all alumni are more than welcome to attend the spectrum event by the college, however there is no special alumni meets made by the college.
Exam Structure
It was same as all the colleges of Uttarakhand Technical University & UPTU. Practicals were a part of it and first year practicals were proper, rest all was for formality sake.
Faculty
Faculty is nice. It's a 100% residential college and so most of the faculty stay at college itself. Prof. Alok Sharma was our course co-ordinator and was considered God for B.Tech Staff. Other highly experienced professors included Prof. Sandesh Tripathi & Prof. Sandeep Budhani. Many of the faculties have completed M.Tech and Ph.D.
