My College Review

Overall it's quite a decent college but it has the potential to improve itself in all the fields.

It is dull and irrelevant on a broader scale. Tons and tons of assignments, exams, reports and projects tend to impose a burden on students pushing them into anxiety and depression. But the practical part on the other side is quite well implemented and helps the students to be industry ready.

Not yet appeared for internships or placements. The percentage of placed students is generally above 80%. Yes, the college prepares the students for placements. It helps them with GDs, interviews and Resume making.

There are several events held in the college all year round. Our biggest fest is called Saturnalia which is a techno-cultural fest held annually during November. Other big fest is Mudra Night which is a sole cultural fest. Orion is other huge technical fest in which students from various colleges take part.

It is quite expensive. Various modes of fee payment are available like online payment which includes cheques, demand drafts, net banking, Debit or Credit cards, online wallets like PayTM, but no cash payment of fees. Yes the college provides transparency in fee breakdown. Anyone can know the break up of fee amount from the office.

I am studying on education loan from my bank. Yes the college provides scholarship to some students and the criteria is based on your performance in class 12th examination or your performance in the college academics annually.

Gender is is quite balanced here as compared to other engineering colleges where there are less girls. Extra curricular activities are also good. Labs are well maintained and equipped will all the instruments. Sports facilities are equally well provided. Student diversity is evident here. Students from various states of the country stay and study here.

There are several choices for hostellers. There are all types of rooms available. AC or non Ac, single or sharing. There are double, triple and quad sharing rooms which are cheap. AC rooms are expensive.

Yes, in this matter my college has a really good performance. A special society has been established to help students connect with their seniors so as they could get any kind of help or support from them.

I got a seat in mechanical engineering brach based on my performance in the Joint Entrance Examination(JEE Main). Online counseling was conducted in various rounds. After that I had to visit the college campus to get the documents verified amd confirm my admission.

In one semester there are usually 6 to 7 lecturers in my course with an average age of around 50 with most of them post graduates or PHDs. Some of them are really good with their subjects and know how to teach concepts to students in an efficient manner. Others are average.
