Shashank Malpani's Review On O.P. Jindal Global University - [JGU], Sonepat

To be very honest OP JINDAL UNIVERSITY was my last resort, the thing i like the most about this college is its culture and its very clean, the college is well maintained by the SODEXO group, the faculty at the college is very good. I opted for BBA because business has always fantasized me and i wanted to learn more about how a business is operated what are the factors we have to look after while starting or doing a business.

Our course is updated accordingly as per the new guidelines given by the UGC, we were provided with industrial experience but because of the lockdown we couldn't go for the exposure tour. The faculties at our college are very good and some of them are appointed from out of India. Almost all the faculties at our college are very good and have a great knowledge about their subject and provide us with ample of examples to make the subject much more easier for the students. The college is having 9 schools that are (1)business school; (2)banking and finance school; (3) architecture school;(4) law school ;(5) school of liberal arts; (6) International affairs; (7)sustainability development;(8)journalism;(9) and government and public policy. Every school is having a scheduled timetable for its classes.

I am selected to intern at capital box and i have also applied for internship at MEA AME and BRIDGE SOLUTIONS and waiting for the reply, the internship is a work from home which will start from 15th june and will end in july.

the office of career services offers placement and job opportunities to the students, but it is the duty of the student to get in contact with the OCS and apply for the opportunity. the Career office floats emails for the opportunities almost every week with the information about the job and the job profile required.

The events held at our college are extraordinary, a huge amount of students participate in almost every festival or event our college holds and the students manage the requirements of the event. The management events are well organised where guest speakers are invited from every industry where students attend the conclaves in huge amount. these conclaves gives the students an opportunity to interact with the speaker personally.

I don't have knowledge about the loan facility given by the college. Scholarship are given to the students who have taken admission on merit basis or have scored a certain mark-point in the entrance exam.

our campus infrastructure is very lush and clean and well maintained, we have almost every sports facilities provided to us with the required equipments and faculty, the whole college is WI-FI enabled we have access to the WI-FI even at the football field and have WI-FI routers in each and every room of the hostels and classrooms. a whole block which is a size of 35 classrooms or could be more is been given to library. The labs in our college are having the modern day equipment so far as i know. The college is also having food court with dominos; keventers; subway; moti mahal deluxe; punjab street food; chowranghee lane; burger point and krishnatunga. The college is having 4 MESS areas and a common room in the academic block with two snooker tables, two foosball tables, chess and carrom and television with all the channels.

every student is required to stay in hostels. The hostel rooms are shared by 3 students for boys and 4 students for girls. there are 9 hostels in total and 2 new hostels are being constructed. There are 4 hostels for boys and 5 hostels for girls and there are separate hostels for students coming to our college for exchange program. the hostels are well maintained by the sodexo workers, 2 guards are always at the main gate of each hostel , 2 male for boys and 2 female for girls. Every room is fully enabled with WI-FI and are having attached bathrooms and washrooms with balconies given to each room. the hostels are also having the facility of giving their clothes for laundry and getting it back washed in 2 days. All the hostels are having common rooms which is having snooker tables and TT tables with television and the given requirements.
