Entrance exam name-IMUCET, I get AIR 512 in this exam. Here i choose b.tech in marine engineering course. I opt this college because this college is the no.1 college in our country for marine engineering. My college comes in top rank in word ranking for marine engineering. So, this college was my first choice. To get admission in this college we have to give Emucet entrance exam and have to score less than 1000 rank.after that there will be your online counselling. If your rank is good then you will get tha chance to choose . If your rank is not too good then you have to choose only that college and department in which seat is blanked. To sit in imu cet you have to qualify some criteria, that means you should have 75% min. In pcm subjects and atleast 60% in english.

B.tech in marine engineering consist a training programme Of total eight semesters, in which last semester is iin onboard training project. First two years course curriculum is basically a combination of mechanical, electrical and computer engineering. Next two years consist a major portion of ship's engineering.

Internship is generally offered to us in last semester, which also referred as onboard training programme. We get internship from outside market also by our own in summer and winter vaccation. College gives us NOC( NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE).companies in which get internship are tata steel, NPTC, calcutta dock, garden reach ship builders, haldia dock and many others.

Generally boys prefer to be marine engineer. So there are only 7-8 girls in our college and rest of us are boys.hostel life is full of enjoy. We have a lot of parties, djnights, many more unofficial parties. Students of hostel are very much friendly with each other. There is no any race religion, sexual orientation, no racism.

Hostel facilities are are not that much good but not bad also. Rooms are in good condition. Beds and mattress are alsoin good condition.there are separate hostels for every year students. 24*7 elctricity and water supply is there. Mess food are good even best.morning breakfast is quite good.5 days in a week non veg food is provided.separate mess is there for every year.

Alumni network and senior students are the base pillar of our college. They provide many scholarship to college students. They help students to get them job. They invite companies in the college to recruit us because now they are in the top post in shipping industry. Many of them are shipping company 's recruiters.

Exam guarding is very tight in my college. There is no way for copying from others or cheating. Lab instructor follows strict rule in doing us the experiments and familiraising with different assignments.

Faculty of our college are top reknowned faculty from our country in marine engineering field. Maximum faculties are experinced chief marine engineer officers. Some of them are also member of marine merchantile department.
