In Patiala, TIET is known for campus placements and infrastructure was good also it's in my home state I had an interest in navy and aeronautical engineering but being a girl, my parents convinced me to opt for computer engineering due to the huge salary and respect.
Course Curriculum Overview
Courses and curriculum are good but we need more depth knowledge in some of the core subjects. Some of the faculty members are amazing and some just not care. But in college, you shouldn't expect teachers to teach you. It's all about your hard work and patience. The academics overall evaluation process is a bit tricky but not hard.
Placement Experience
It's all in the talent and hard work shown by students. College just provides degrees and some opportunities it's in the hand of students how they take opportunities. Though good opportunities are provided on campus also off campus students can get so many opportunities.
College Events
Technical fests are conducted very nicely twice a year. Cultural tests are also carried amazingly. Extracurricular activities: there is a huge platform for such activities but you need to take initiative because the competition is also large.
Fees and Financial Aid
Board+ jee scholarship It waived off 1 lac for my two sem but was then removed by tiet for my category specifically. Many scholarships such as minority, board, board+ mains and aptitude scholarships are provided to many students
Campus Life
Sports facilities are good to track badminton court tennis court. WiFi: always available through sometimes speed decreases but overall it's good experience Size of lib: lib is huge but with a large number of books. Labs: well equipped and managed.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are good. ACs are not provided in the first year normally. But overall the food room and the environment is good. Every variation from 3/2/1 seater at available. 3 seater of hostel G is the most spacious rooms. Every hostel have a gym For girls gyms aren't well maintained but for boys gyms are awesome.
