Remarks
To be honest this was not my dream college. I was hoping to get into some decent college in north campus. When the cut offs came out I started to do some research and kamla nehru college was the best college availabe in my cut off range. I was skeptical and apprehensive as to what my life here would be, but as i explored the campus I pretty much made my peace with that " wanna go to north campus " thing. I am happy and highly satisfied with the faculty. However dogs roaming in cafes and in campus grounds is shocking but I have been accustomed to it.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course Curriculum is standardized which means that all the colleges affiliated to DU will be following the same course. The course structure is pretty elaborate and explicit. There is a huge inclination towards academics in this college. Teachers are always looking for some free time in your schedule so that they can pounce on you to take an extra class. I do not get the concept,but yes that happens.When one talks about faculty I 'd say that this is the arena where the college wins it all. The faculty is highly experienced and supportive. They help you by hoing out of the way which is really impressive.
Internships Opportunities
Yes. I was working with sirona for a month as their campus ambassador and I recieved a stipend of 2200 rs.
Placement Experience
The opportunites are limited and there is a cut throat competition for placements. Whosoever performs well in the placement rounds gets the job.The company's which are invited are all big shot companys with whom one would definately be familiar with.
College Events
Fests are a common occurence in here.There are fests which are on college level which are like huge and students make a pretty big deal about it. The participation is in huge numbers too. (2k - 15k people )Then there are departmental fests which every department has to organize which is decent with a footfall of around a 1000 people.
Hostel Facilities
If you wanna live in a pg then GK 1 would be your option. You'll have to pay rs 15- 25 k per month depending on the location and services offered.The PG's are generally equipped with all the basic facilities like meals, wifi etc
