Remarks

Since my childhood I liked English. I had a knack for the subject and I loved reading books. So I took up English honours. Sivanath Sastri College is near my house so that is why I took admission to this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Some teachers are strict while some teachers are very lenient. We have proper and punctual classes every day and even on Saturdays. We also attended online classes during the Lockdown so that we are up to date with the syllabus

Placement Experience

Unfortunately, we do not have a proper placement cell in our college but the college is trying to overcome this scenario by providing us with seminars and other events such as counselling sessions to prepare us for the real world. Alumni networking is not that good.

College Events

The campus of sivanath Sastri College is very small. The building is rather small compared to other colleges. The college has its own non-political student union which organises fests and other events. These events have a large crowd.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Moderate College Life.

After HS I applied many colleges but I didn't got chance at the top notch colleges as they damand more marks than I got. After trying so many colleges I finally got admitted to this college.
