Remarks

My uncle is a Physics facility here and my whole family knows Techno since it was inaugurated. It has a good reputation in Kolkata and also is located in central Kolkata. It has good placements and also you will get a wide exposure to the outer world.

Course Curriculum Overview

I'm currently pursuing b.tech in computer science and engineering. The teaching is not that good. There are only a few teachers who are actually very good, others are not that good. The curriculum is updated.

Placement Experience

Earlier placements were not that good but from the previous year it has been good, and this year especially it is very good. Several companies have visited the campus for placements, including big companies like Amazon, cognizant, Microsoft, Rockwell automation, Cerner, thought works, etc. Highest package 10lakh and average is around 4lpa.

College Events

The college has a decent infrastructure. The classroom and most of the lab are air-conditioned. The library of the college is huge and has a good collection of books. The college shares its playground with another college. The college computer lab is wifi enabled. There are many fests and the participation ranges from 3000-4000.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
