Remarks
As the college is located in the foothills of the Himalayas so the environment of the college is awesome with beautiful nature all around. Also, it is a state govt college so it adds up its value. The course curriculum is not that hectic so you can simultaneously prepare for other national level exams like GATE and CAT as there is enough time for yourself. Also, this place will be heaven for you if you are a mountain lover as there are a lot of adventure sites to explore.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is not very hectic. In the first year, You will have full classes and labs from 9 to 5 but from the 2nd year the classes are less and you get an ample amount of free time for yourself. industrial exposure is less but there are industrial trips every year.
Internships Opportunities
I did my internship from the century pulp and paper electrical department as I am from electrical engineering. There was no stipend but you will learn a lot inside the industry.
Placement Experience
This is one department where the college lacks. On-campus placement are very less but you can get off campus arranged by faculties. But as I said you get a lot of free time so generally people prepare for GATE IES and CAT and find themselves in a respectable position.
College Events
Personally, for me, those 4 years of my college life is probably the best time of my life. Life is so much chill out there. You will enjoy the freshness of nature and a lot of trips to the mountains. There are a lot of extracurricular activities like sports tournaments and other stuff and a fest every year.
Campus Life
The infrastructure of the campus is really good. Every department has its own building including various labs and classes. There are 2 big sports grounds and indoor sports are also there. There is a central park which helps you to chill with your friends and a central library which has published journals.
Hostel Facilities
I have mixed opinion about this as there is some good hostel with good mess food and there are some in which the food is not good. You will get a different hostel in the different year so you will have experience of both good and bad.
