Remarks

The college management did not have transparency in returning the caution money that was taken from us during admission with the promise of returning it after passing out. They did not return 13k which was taken as caution money from the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Our concrete lab has excellent infrastructure and dedicated lab faculty to enable each and every individual to conduct experiments on their own. Hence we could understand the dynamics of the site conditions in industry since our college days. We had great transportation labs and soil labs. These were the subjects that required practical knowledge apart from theories. We did summer training in big infra projects under reputed govt organizations/ psus.

Placement Experience

3

Placement statistics was good in 2013. In civil engineering stream almost 40 students got campus placements out of 60 students.at present everyone is settled and doing well. I did an summer training project under CPWD Kolkata.

College Events

3.5

We have our cultural fest and technical fest MESON which were crowd pullers and got huge sponsors. There were bridge designing competions for the tech fest in civil engineering. We even went to INSDAG for competing in a steel structure design project. Also quizzes related to technical fields were conducted.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Demand draft 28k semester fees from 2009-2013. There was a registration fees of around 50k at the time of admission. Also a caution money deposit was taken of 13k. This is for the students who enter via entrance exams. The students with management quota have separate fee structure.

Fees and Financial Aid

I availaled educational loan from SBI bank. My HS marks we're good so the bank allowed me student loan.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life was restricted to college hours since there were no hostels. We had cheap canteens with excellent food taste and hygienic standards. There was religious and cultural diversity as people from other states also came through AIEEE ranks. The civil engineering class had a skewed gender ratio. There were only 6 girls out of class strength of 60. However the computer science and Information technology classes had good gender ratios.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

No I did not stay in hostels or PG. I was a day scholar. There are rented accomodations/PG s available near college area which are cheap. They are near college campus and Anandapur more which is called RR plot.

Alumni/Alumna

My college alumni network is vast and diverse. Since civil engineering is a very vast field it includes both people from academics background as well as industrial background.

Admission

I was interested in Mechanics since my school days. And my father himself being a civil engineer taught me to love mechanics. Hence I opted for this stream. My rank was not enough to qualify for govt college in my state. And MSIT was the best private college in civil engineering stream in 2009 at that time with senior faculty members and excellent laboratory facilities.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty were senior in their respective fields They had graduated from good colleges and had on job experience as well. There was dedicated faculty for all subjects and regular classes were conducted. The average age was around 40. There were 8 semesters and 6 months of each semester. Out of which in each semester around 4.5months of classes were conducted and rest for semester exams and internals. The faculty have us interesting assignments which were later evaluated and added to the internal marks.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
