Best Ever College Life

I have nothing left to complaint about my college and feel very lucky to have a college like this and assure that this university would be very well known within a short period of time.

To get into this spectacular college, I had to give SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test) which will be preferred over your your JEE score. (You can also get admission through JEE)I preferred Mechanical over IT, CS, E&TC, CIVIL because I am passionate about mechanicals and had decided long ago in my school days.

The teaching here is really in an innovative way. The quality can be easily understood during the practicals. The staff is extremely excellent and hardworking towards student's satisfaction.

I'm still pursuing my 1st yr engg. but we are known which companies come to our college for giving internship like Amazon, Infosys, NVIDIA, Tata, Mahindra, L&T etc. Stipend offered may vary per student but average held is ?7, 20, 000/- p.a.

Also depending on hard work done by the student the average placements done in last 3yrs is 72%.Last year(2014-15) placement was 84%.Companies visited are Amazon, Infosys, NVIDIA, Tata, Mahindra, L&T, Dell etc.

A grand fest held in SIT is "Reverb".A lot of preparation are done long before for better organization.Reverb consists of different fests like PROTATHELITS which is the competition held between the different departments like mechanical, civil etc. Sports events are held.There is a 'mechronos' event held which have the events for autobot design competitions etc. There are other events like Dance, Open Mic, Flash Mobs, Gaming competitions, Live concerts (Farhan Aktar Live), DJ nights and many more where students can ultimately enjoy their selves.

Fee is double the normal college fees in Pune which are affiliated with Pune University but Symbiosis is deemed with SIU(Symbiosis International University) which is really worth.The campus is breathtaking and one of the best campuses found in Country. The fees is ?2, 15, 000/-

Score per Semester is converted into GPA (score in pointer) and are sent abroad for the students with good score and scholarship is given where 50% tuition expenses are held by college.

For engineering, female population is expected less which comes to around 35% of a normal class is female population.Hostel parties are held in college at times but outside campus more often for better party life. Cultural festivals are held like the kite flying for Makar Sankranti, Traditional day, Dandiya night etc.Debates competition &Quizzes are held too.Workshops/Labs are always under surveillance when students are working.In this modern life there is no racial or gender discrimination. Any type of alcohols are strictly prohibited on the campus. There is no sign of any kind of politics.

Hostelites are really satisfied with their rooms and many other amenities provided. Gym, swimming pool, Table tennis, Badminton, Basketball, cricket, Squash, Football, Medical/Health care Check up and many others. Per year paid for the Hostel Accommodation is 1, 00, 000/- each student which is very reasonable according to the campus amenities and the rent estimated in this city. Even though every person misses their home food, mess food can be replaced on the best level maintaining its hygiene.Every student on campus is insured. (includes in college fees. ?50, 000/- for any type of disease and ?1, 00, 000/- for car accident)Buses are arranged for day scholars and is well scheduled according to our convenience.

Before the admission into the college the antiragging undertaking is signed by every students. Seniors are always friendly and suggest advices on their past experiences.

In every semester there are 2 unit tests and an End Sem Exam(main exam).There are tutorials/practicals held weekly for each subject for better practice of students.The unit tests are held on regular intervals to avoid the hectic schedule or excess pressure on us. Events are held for stress free campus life.

As mentioned above, they are really hardworking and don't feel satisfied until the student grasps and understands every term they teach. Teachers are highly sophisticated and experienced. The interaction between the student and teacher is very swift.
