Entrance Preview

In my SSC results i scored 72%. I filled the basic forms for admission in the college. I got admission in 4th lost and then paid the fees. There is no interview for getting the admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum was quite vast and was explained very well, however limited to notebooks sometimes. Course curriculum also helped in personality development.

Internships Opportunities

There were two companies which came for campus recruitment, however no proper announcements were made due to which many students missed the opportunity. Also no information about the companies were given. After the interview we came to know that one of them was BPO.

Placement Experience

0.5

Placement is not that good as compared to other colleges. The first companies name was firstsource located in malad. And the second one was airline firm recruiting for cabin crew only after doing their one lakh course. Stipend offered was rs 15000 each and very few opted for their jobs.

College Events

2

I will give 10on 10 for the festivals celebrated. The most famous festival as u all must be knowing is the tarangan. 20%of the college crowd volunteers in the festival and make the fest as big as possible. Many actors also visit during this fest. Dj night, fashion show, games nd food is organised. 70% of college attends the fest and make it happening.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is super expensive. 22000 for last year. Unbelievable. On average 15000 for each year. The figures quoted is for 2010-13 now it is definitely higher than this.

Fees and Financial Aid

College does not provide any loan facility but you are to free to avail loan from private finances. College does provide an emi facility without interest which i had opted. You need to fill a form which is available at counter no. 2 at the quadrant to avail EMI facility.

Hostel Facilities

2

My house is very near to the college so i had never opted for the hostel services so i am not the right person to comment on this, however one of my friend was staying in the college hostel and he used to pay 5000 for a month. Food is provided by the canteen which is quite good.

Alumni/Alumna

Some of the seniors are rude and do not respond properly. One seminar was held wherein seniors had shared their experience after graduation and gave a gist of the outer world.

Exam Structure

The exams were chilled out and conducted twice in a year. Its easy to pass out in the exams if u attend the lectures and refer need once.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty was very good during my graduation. Very informative and explaining the course very well. Connecting it with examples was ab added advantage to understand. Very helpful in terms of doubts and queries.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
