Remarks

The management is similar that you’ll find in any typical government system as they work on file system with files moving from one department of another you’ll have to keep track of who to approach and what work to do to make sure you are getting your work done in time. They are typical sarkari babu. They need everting in order to proceed a single paper missing you’ll not get your work done they follow a proper chain of command.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Being a engineer the course structure matters a lot as it needs updation regularly and NITP has done the same last when I visited the institute it has compulsorily made internship a part of curriculum in the last semester which gives a better chance for students to get aquatinted with the work culture in corporate before they move to it. The faculties are well supporting and have experience that really is worth glorification.

Placement Experience

4

I had been placed in two companies from the institute placement cell, in my time internship was just for 2 months not what it’s being followed of 6 months pattern in institute. Even at my time the placements were 100 % for the department with highest being the 16 lakhs.

College Events

3.5

It has a techno management fest named CORONA, and a cultural fest named MELANGE but as far as I am updated they have been merged into one. Additionally there is a annual Alumni meet on February first week every year. Apart from this there is a Sports meet under INTRAMURAL SPORTS for students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Looking at the quality that they provide the fees is justified and is not expensive. They have a fees updated with all details mentioned in separate sections for justification to students. Hostel and Mess charges are additional to the fees as it’s quite cheap looking at the private colleges of same caliber as it’s a NATIONAL importance institute.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes there are scholarships offered for performing students and weaker section students funded by central and state government and some PSU like IOCL. Students did avail all these facilities.

Campus Life

4

Being a engineering college you will not find the gender ratio to the level of private colleges but you’ll find a decent number in CS branch. Life at college is a lively one with activities happening round the year in forms of fest and competitions. As 50% reservation is for local state students you’ll find local students but they too are ones who have potential not some underdogs. There is as such no political activity within college as no students union exists there. The diversity in college interns of states and religion is present you’ll be learning a lot there.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

At my time hostel facility was limited to some students but recently the new hostel buildings have Been built and are under use. So now it’s a fully residential campus. In our time we had to pay 2000 each for PG rooms and 2000 for food.

Alumni/Alumna

The network of alumni is starting from the BCE time with C. M. Nitish Kumar Being one of them. The placement activity is supported by the seniors and they are well positioned to help their juniors and they do the same. Every year in feb there is a meet organised for the alumni group to Felicitate their achievements.

Admission

Admission is through JEE Mains now at my time it was AIEEE you need to apply for the same and followed by a JOSSA counselling which allots you a seat in respective NIT, which NITP is a part of. I always had a carving for Computers so I opted for it it’s a course for future.

Faculty

4

The faculties are well qualified and have quite vast experience in terms of both research and even projects, I worked personally under two professors who guided me greatly to help grow till today in my career. They not only teach what’s in course but also make sure that we learn what’s new and try to involve in the projects that they are working on in some manner may it be small contribution or significant it’s a best way to make student learn.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students are eligible to seat and apply for campus placements . Eligiblity criteria depends on companies but if you have 7 CGPA ir more than that then you don't need to worry . Companies like Godrej, ACC,CDAC, BHEL, Infosys, WIPRO ,TCS etc. visited our college for campus placements. Highest package from our college is around 13 Lakh Per Annum and average placement is 3 to 4 Lakh Per Annum Its totally depends upon companies and their job profiles. There are almost 60 to 70 percentage student got placement ( In upper branches like CSE& AI percentage is slightly high otherwise it is quite low for civil and our branches) My plans after getting a degree that is I have to go for M.Tech from any IITs of India I am preparing hard for that.

From 6th semster you are eligible to sit in campus placement . There is companies like Infosys , TCS , De Walls Ads , Wipro, Congnizent, ACC visited our college for campus placements . They have limited offers with limited packages also they have some eligiblity criterias like students should have CGPA above than 7.5 . Highest package offered in our college is 13 LPA per annum by TCS for a CSE student and Average package is around 3.5 to 4 lakh per annum. There is highest placements in branches like CSE ,EEE andCIVIL. Other branches got less offeres. Totally 50 to 60 percentage students got placements from our college because majority lower branch students are preparing for government exams like SSC , UPSC, BPSC , DAROGA and GATE. My plans after getting the degree to go for highes studies (M.TECH) .

From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There is companies like Wipro , Infosys, ACC, Copegimini, Congnizent, TCS visited our college for campus placements. There is very less number of offers given by companies and also there is almost negligible offers for Lower branches(like Mechanical and Civil) . There is highest 12.4 lakh per annum for a CSE student given by TCS and average salary of 4 LPA . There is only 50 to 60 percent students got placements in which majority are from CSE , CSE-AI , and EEE branches. My plans after getting the degree is doing M.tech from any reputed Colleges of India like some NITs or IITs depending to my Gate Score.
