DIT University - A journey for a bright future

Starting with the atmosphere and climate as it is situated between hills hence it was like you are studying in heaven. The beautiful garden, gorgeous seems made us mad not even me, my parents, the education, interaction with teachers is extremely good. Education constitutes various aspects covering not only the technical part but the soft skills and other skills too. Alumni network is strong and college has a good placement record too. The admission procedure is very simple starts with a form filling via DIT website then goes an interactive session (counselling) and the merit comes on your JEE percentage and your 12 class marks. As I told the beauty, infrastructure, interaction with the students, teachers were very well with good placement and good education rankings in NERF.

I have a keen interest in the computer which made me choose engineering in this field. The faculty is well educated, polite and extremely good in nature. One single subject is taught by 4-5 different teachers and many of them have a doctorate degree in their fields. The teachers teach us on both orally and on projectors too, resulting in deep knowledge about the subject. In a semester there are 2 exams including midterm and end-term however in lockdown period we have taught excellent through online methods exams were also online There were 90 MCQ questions in 2 hours duration. Both offline and online exams require a deep knowledge of the subject.

Many companies like Google and Adobe, IBM, ONGC, ISRO, DRDO etc provide internship to many of our students.

From 3-year college sends for internships however from the first year we are prepared for interviews. A number of companies like Google, Adobe, Wipro, Infosys, Mahendra, Tata Motors, HCL and many more come for hiring students.

There are many scholarships which include marks in your JEE exam and your 12 percentage. However, there is a 10% scholarship for girls. People from the army gets a scholarship. The fees for Uttrakhand students remains as compared to others providing a state quota to the students.

The college is undoubtedly extremely beautiful situated between mountains. The annual fest is YUTHOPIA, held every year in November whereas the sports fest is Sphurti which is held in April. The library constitutes a large number of books and journals on each and every topic. We have 3 playgrounds for basketball badminton and cricket and one playground is mutual for every sport. We have more than 15 clubs including technical and cultural. We have a 3-floor cafeteria.

We have 4 hostels consisting of single, double and triple occupancy. The hostel food is very tasty and healthy includes 4 meals a day. Hostels provide a WIFi connection, gym facility, common room at every floor, Barbour shop and general accessories shop.
