Remarks
The Aura of the college was very positive that let the students grow in a lot of different ways and not just limited to studies. Falakata had a very strict anti-ragging policy that made sure that all students felt at home and did not face bullying.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was good. I got all my favourite subjects. Some of the subjects I studied were Political Science, Philosophy, History & Economics. BA Geography is a 3 year course and has 6 semesters.
Placement Experience
Most of the students from our batch went for masters but the college provided us with employment opportunities as geography teachers in schools. In the final year, we were trained properly in teaching.
College Events
Events like Blood donation camps, NCC, Environment drives, AIDS Awareness programs, NGO driven programs were very popular at our college. We believed in volunteering and giving our best to uplift the society.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is a very feasible college. The fees for my first year was 3400. So the total fees for my degree approx 10,000. This included tuition fees and books and etc. The extra charges included food charges and co curricular charges.
Campus Life
Our college has a good sports team. We had a lot of sports tournaments including football, cricket and basketball. Our college also propagated the bengali culture a lot. Cultural events like dance and music shows were organised by the management on festivals and special occasions.
Admission
Admissions happen on the basis of marks in 12th standard. Minimum 50% marks is need to get admitted. The online application brochure is required to be filled with the documents needed for the process.
Faculty
The faculty was nice and wise. They helped me to understands all the tough concepts in Political Science as I was a little weak in that. They were approachable and took out the time after classes to clear doubts.
