Remarks
For a history student, this college is the place to be. I could absorb the rich culture of Bengal so effortlessly. I had the best time, made so many friends, learnt so much from some of the best teachers.
Course Curriculum Overview
I opted for the course BA History (honors). The course structure was very interesting as it had both Indian and International history. Apart from History subject, there were additional subjects like English, Geography, Educational and Political Studies which were great additions.
Placement Experience
On and off-campus placements as well as internships opportunity are provided by the college. Falakata College holds mock vivas and interviews to prepare students for the outside words. Most of students got places as history teachers.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The total fees for BA History Honors was 10,000 which included academic fees and accommodation fees. It is a very feasible college as compared to most colleges that provide undergraduate courses.
Campus Life
Being a college in West Bengal, Falakata college is very rich in maintaining the cultural heritage of Bengal. Music and dance shows and competition were very prominent. Students from different colleges used to come to participate.
Admission
Your admission totally depends on your 12th marks. Falakata college has a completely merit based admission system. I scored 60% marks in commerce stream in my 12th. A simple application for is to be filled with the required documents and that's all.
Faculty
The faculty was very nice and helpful. They were the best mentors I could ever get. They helped in understanding historical events very easily. They taught tricks and tips to learn dates which proved to be very beneficial during exams.
