Course Curriculum Overview
The course is designed in keeping with the standard of B.Com courses around the country. The course is at the same level as the full-time on-campus courses. The pacing of the course is good, and the deadlines for submission are put sufficiently so that we can work and study at the same time.
Placement Experience
There aren't many placement opportunities provided, mainly because it is a distance course. The placement cell helps with guidance on these axpects if we need it. They also hold a job fair that we could attend, with companies like Capgemini, Hinduja, Polaris, Eurek Forbes and Equitas visit for recruiting students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The whole thing costs only 6845 rupees, which is a quite low amount. Due to the fact that this is a distance course, certain costs are not incurred, which means the fee is low. It is feasible to pay this amount for the degree.
Campus Life
The distance thing means that on-campus activities aren't really there. Workshops and seminars are held from time to time, and we're notified of that in case we would attend those. The labs, of course, would be held at a particular partner institution.
Admission
I got admission here after applying on the basis of my 10+2 marks. I wanted a distance education program, and PRIDE has a good reputation and is accessible. So, I filled up the application form and took up admission.
Faculty
The is no faculty as such for the course, since this is a distance education, except the few occassions when certain subjects require classes that have to be attended in person. We can contact Professors is we require such ever.
