Course Curriculum Overview

MA has 100 seats. There are various specializations available such as: ARABIC, BENGALI, GEOGRAPHY, ECONOMICS, EDUCATION, ENGLISH, HISTORY, SANSKRIT, PHILOSOPHY, POLITICAL SCIENCE and SOCIOLOGY. All have detailed curriculum.

Placement Experience

The university's educational system is excellent, so students can get placement without much trouble. Today all of my seniors are working in good institutions and I plan to finish and post my Masters from here.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I am doing a Masters of Arts from Gour Banga University and I have found that the course rate is very affordable. I paid around Rs 6,000 for the course fee. It is the officially recognized university of the University Grants Commission, which coders higher education for practitioners like me.

Campus Life

There is a large campus that allows students to participate in a variety of activities on campus. The university has a fully air-conditioned hall, an upgraded computer lab and a digital library. My college is rigorous on those who engage in any kind of ragging activity.

Admission

The truth is that admission to my college is fine because students apply for the year, the admission is based on merit, and sometimes the college publishes a third cut-off list. Applicants can fill in the application form online.

The faculty are very friendly and helpful. They are always ready to assist you in your studies. You will never be afraid to talk to them. Classes really help. They are very effective and if you attend a class, there is no need to learn more.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
