My D. Pharma journey in KMCH

The course duration of D. Pharmacy is about 2 years. As one of the best Institute in Tamilnadu the infrastructure of the college is appreciable too. The college has a big library with almost 10000 books and e-resources of the books are available too. Here are almost 16 laboratories with adequate sets of equipments and apparatus. It also has 18-20 lecture halls and A large seminar hall with various facilities. I don't realise that how the the spent with various college activities, lectures and seminars.

The placement cell of KMCH college of pharmacy collaborates with several pharma industries and hospitals to provide a best placement opportunity to each of the student. College assures almost 100% placement to those candidates who are Interested to do career in pharmaceutical industries and hospitals. 50% of my seniors are interested to pursue jobs and 50% are want to take the higher education. By listening their experience I realized that placement cell is working continuously to grab the different employment opportunities for the students. I also heard the major recruiters companies such as Abbott, Appollo pharmacy and hospitals, Glenmark and many more.

There is not a single day in a college without a workshop, seminar or any other event. To improve the students skills the college is continuously organising various workshops like drug development & clinical challenges. The seminars on advancement in drugs, health and future are also organised on every alternate day to enhance the skills of students. No doubt , it helps me a lot to improve my skills and knowledge in this field.

I think, the fee structure is feasible. The fees of the course is about 43000 for every year. It is very less as compared to various facilities provided by the college. There is a option of installment fees. One who are not able to pay all the amount in one time can pay the fee in installment. Lot of poor background students including me get an advantage by this scheme.

To enhance the students skills and knowledge the visits, workshops and seminars arranged by the college frequently. My first visit in this Institute is to the anglo French drugs industries limited Bangalore. I got a lot of knowledge by this visit. Many more visits are continuously conducted by the college. The seminars and workshops are also a common thing here. On every single day the workshops like "drug usage and improvements" and seminars like "health and future " are conducted by the college. It definitely helps us to improve our knowledge. Industrial and hospital training is also provided by the college at different industries and hospital to get a real life experience to students.

KMCH college of pharmacy is approved by pharmacy council of India(PCI) and AICTE. Hence it is recognised as one of the best college in Tamilnadu for the pharmacy. I have an interest in this field since my childhood so after completing 12th my first priority for D. Pharmacy is KMCH college of pharmacy. The admission is depend upon the HSC marks and ranking of the candidates will be done based on this marks.I have scored good marks in this examination so I'm in the first 20 rankers of the Institute and admitted for the D.pharmacy program in this college.

Within 2 months of the admission I realized that the faculty of the college is just outstanding. All the lecturers are mostly Ph.D.holders and have a great knowledge about each of the part in the syllabus. They are very cooperative with each of the student and fulfill all the doubts of the students in pleasant way.
