Course Curriculum Overview

the college follows good course structure and focuses on research work. Total duration of this course is 5 years. The syllabus will be updated as per the changing evolution and technology. At the Institutions the normal days are very hectic and exams are very tiring too.

Placement Experience

Placement : The focus of college is on based higher education. The department of placement they provide great opportunities to the students like there are internship, jobs and placement. Many firms come and recruit the students

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees : As per the needs and demand of the courses in growing industry and technology the fees this course is around 1.30 lakh which is quiet feasible. Fees is pretty affordable according to facilities and education provided by the institutions.

Campus Life

the college is having a great campus and environment. They enrich their students and focuses on overall Fulfilness of the students. They have various sports activities, organise a fest ever year in which many students can take part and they will show there skills.

Admission : Indian association for the cultivation of science(IACS) is a scientific research Institute located in kolkata. Govt. of india and kolkata give funds to the Institute. In order to get admission, the students have to give entrance exam UPST and students will be selected on the basis of merit list.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I had applied and got into st.stephens, delhi(bsc chem), jadavpur uni(be,mme), nit durgapur(bs chem), iiser tpt and bpr(bsms). left stephens because the course at iacs or iisers were more relevant to research. didnt join jadavpur cause didnt wanna do btech. didnt join nit since its expensive, and i believe iacs or iisers are a better option for bs, left iiser because its expensive and i got into iacs before i did to iiser,and they are pretty much similar as ive heard from professors and seniors...Read More
