Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum designed by the institute is quite good with the focus given to both research and practical applications. The duration is of 5 years as it is an integrated course. We have 2 semesters every year with frequent labs, practical assessments, class test and end sem exams.
Placement Experience
The placement cell do provide training and internship opportunities to students. Students who are more interested in research can get research internship in institiute itself or with recommendation can get in some other internships. All in all, it is pretty good out here.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is around 25K INR per year for a total of 5 years which we have to pay semester-wise. This fees will include your tuition fees, admission fees, labs, wifi and other miscellaneous fees. Compared to other colleges, this is quite nominal.
Campus Life
We play a lot of sports after study hours. I personally am a basketball player. We also celebrate our annual sports day and our cultural fest. We also volunteer for social causes such as teaching small children or doing work for NGOs.
Admission
I have been in love with physics since grade 9 and always wanted to pursue higher education in it. IACS is an esteemed institution with great past( C.V. Raman has worked here and discovered the famous Raman Effect). To get admission here, one needs to clear their entrance exam UPST and then go through the interview process. As for me, I was directly invited to interview on the basis of my JEE rank.
Faculty
The faculty is just great. All are highly qualified with great experience in teaching. All the professors are experts in their domain with notable contributions. They promote research and guides us in a proper path. Their lectures are great with a new and innovative ways of teaching.
