Course Curriculum Overview

The college has a very excellent curriculum. The college utilizes online means very well and you will have access to the whole suite of google applications such as Google Docs, Google Sheets and so on. This is extremely helpful.

Placement Experience

The college has an excellent career counseling cell that is open for both the current students and the ex-students who have already passed out from the college. They provide excellent career guidance and other advice.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The Fees in Bankura Zilla Saradamani Mahila Mahavidyapith is very low, when compared to most MA courses in many different colleges. The Fees per annum is Rs. 5000 and Rs. 4900 for the SC and ST students.

Campus Life

This is not a co ed college but the diversity in still very good and the college crowd is very good. Some foreign nationals are also in this college. There are several events and other activities held and it is very good to be part of.

Admission

In Bankura Zilla Saradamani Mahila Mahavidyapith, the admission is done through online mode. You have to fill the admission form on the official website and upload all necessary documents and fill in all the relevant details. Admission is on the basis of merit only.

Faculty

The college faculty is very good. IQAC maintains the quality of the professors of the college and they are all very nice educators as well. The best faculty members of the history department are Prof. Uday Sankar Sarkar and Prof. Anabik Biswas.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
