Course Curriculum Overview

They have a good course curriculum which has a lot of focus and influences on practical approach and learning. Exams are not at all hectic and are rather interesting there also group discussions for my program.

Placement Experience

There are no placements on campus offered by the college but the professors prepare you well. since I want to be writer in Philosophy I didn't really have to worry about getting a job and I got good education.

Fee Structure And Facilities

This is higher than it should be. I have to pay out 44000 for one year for my BA Honours in Philosophy. Which makes it above 1 lakh for a 2 year program which is a lot. The expenses are not as much as they should which makes it expensive.

Campus Life

The library is excellent and I spent most of my time in air and join the literary club of the college since I have this brighter instinct in me. There are workshops and seminars for students and not much politics in the campus.

Hostel Facilities

I have a hostel but the infrastructure is not as good as it should be for the students to live a comfortable life and have a good time. they provide 24/7 of electricity and water with rooms are not as clean and the food provided in the mess is not as good.

Admission

The admission was on the basis of an entrance exam conducted by the college. The the entrance exam is easy if you prepare well all you need to do is fill in the application form and then appear for the exam and clear.

Faculty

Philosophy is one subject which needs a lot of attention since it cannot be crampped but only understand. Our professor focused on the same time during the college and always share this experience and tricks of understanding.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Salesian College, Regain your confidence

I pursued my graduation degree from Salesian College, Sonada and did not sit for any entrance exams for my college admission process. After aplying I got a call from the college course's HoD who took a telephonic interview. the cut was 60% approximately and even though I joined in late I was able to join the course.
