Course Curriculum Overview

B.com is usually a course of three years and our college offers specialization in Finance, Taxation and accounting.Within these three years we are taught about basic accounting concepts, Taxation , Banking and insurance.

Our college do not have placement cell but we certainly have career counselling team who is responsible for the off campus drive, our college even provides training and courses on banking, beauty and wellness, in collaboration with NSHMU skills pvt. ltd. which comes under the prime Minister's National Skill Development programme.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The wholesome fee for this entire course cost me Rs.5,655 which is Rs.1885. The brief of the fee structure is well discussed once a candidate visits the college campus . Our college charges very less in comparison to other colleges in West Bengal

Campus Life

We have numerous workshops and seminars not only for students but also for teachers. We students are facilitate with both indoor and outdoor games ,We have two play grounds along with a Tennis Court as well.

Hostel Facilities

Our college have Girl's hostel which is also named as Maitree it was set up in the year 2014 .The hostel is well furnished and fooding is provided along with for all the boarders who takes admission in our college.

Admission

It is necessary for each students to register in college's website to proceed further for admission so at first i registered and collected the application form and prospectus from college campus.Based on my merit i was selected for this specific course.

Faculty

Our faculties are one of the well qualified teachers and our college organizes seminars for our faculties as well to upgrade their notion in their respective field. They devote themselves to us and help us deal with any issues.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

THERE ARE FAR BETTER OPTIONS

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
