Gour Banga University pursue the idea ?Knowledge is power?. It is affiliated with Gour Banga University. I am pursuing my Bachelor of Commerce 1st year and too much satisfied. This colleges totally free from ragging and well behaved atmosphere.

Course Curriculum Overview

Gour Banga University Courses and syllabus are mentioned on the official website of the university. Everything is mentioned whether courses and syllabus, courses list, duration of courses, semester wise syllabus. The B.Com course is divided well and taught well by the faculties.

Placement Experience

As the education system of Gour Banga University has good so the students get easily placement. As I have checked and talk too many seniors they all are working in reputed organisations and so now I am planning for my Masters also from here only.

Fee Structure And Facilities

At the time of filing of form we have to pay 300 INR and the whole three year degree course costs you around 75000. There are several other charges for library, campus fee, hostel fee etc you have to pay also.

Campus Life

Gour Banga University has good record of extra curricular activities that are pursued outside the classroom. Different activities like Street plays give some social messages against dowry, child labour, drugs etc. Many youth fests are also organised by the students with the help of faculty members.

Admission

Admission for this college is not too easy. Interested and eligible candidates code apply in the college is a candidate is scoring 60% under reserved category. There will also be physical verification of documents before admissions.

Professors of our college are supremely talented and good behaviour. The popularity of our college are highly qualified mostly having Doctorate certificate. All the staff members are M.Phil. and M.A. and have many years of teaching experience. I think for all my faculty members as extraordinary in teaching field.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
