MY GEU

The management is very good at managing everything whether its an event any tournament or academics.

AIEEE AIR was around 2 LacI opted For GEU because it was a reputed college with great placement records. It was nearby my native city and also the campus is really peaceful and beautiful.

I did BTech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering which was a 4 Year Program. In GEU they focus more on the practical skills of the subject rather than theoritical stuff.

There are no companies which came to college to provide internship instead we used to contact our TPO(Training and placement officer) regarding any internship.As an Electrical student I did my internship from BHEL(Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd).

Placement and job opportunities are huge.There are many MNCs which are coming to our college since so many years and nowadays many startup companies are taking part in placements.AMCAT offered package of 14 lacsCognizant, Infosys, Wipro which offered 3 lacs etcthere were many more companies which were for BBA MBA BCA HM Animation etc but i have no idea about them.

We celebrate 2 fests every year which are for 3 days. 1 we have technical fest and other 1 is cultural fest. Both fests include cultural events like dance performances, fashion show, singing and DJ nights and star nights(honey singh, vishal-shekhar, diler mehendi, mikka etc many stars came and gave performances). Technical fest is more towards technical things like Robo race etc

Fee structure is feasible if you compare with other private institutes but is obviously expensive as compared to government institutes. But it is worth the services provided by the university. At the time of my engineering the fees was 65,000 per semester excluding hostel facility.

There was a scholarship scheme at my time which was based on the AIEEE rank or the 12th percentage whichever is the highest.There are more scholarship available for the residents of Uttarakhand who are student of GEHU(another branch of GEU)

We used to have lots of extracurriculars like singing, dancing, play competions, fashion shows etc.We used to celebrate Diwali, Dusshehra(also ramleela), holi, Ganesh utsav, Sai sandhaya etc.There were so many sports competitions as well like basketball, football, cricket tournaments, racing, high jump, long jump etc. There were so many evenings organized by Spic Macay and other theater groups as well.

The hostel of GEU are the best.I haven't seen such rooms in any other college.We have 3 sharing rooms and have separate hostels for 1st year, 2nd year and a combined hostel for 3rd and 4th year.Some rooms in senior's hostel are 4 seater.The hostel food was tasty, hygienic and varied daily.Unlimited and pure milk, curd is their speciality.

Seniors were very interactive. They used to help us in our academics as well as extracurricular. We used to have fun in our fresher because of our seniors.RAGGING is strictly prohibited inside and outside campus.Whenever new batch joins we have many help desks in our campus to help the freshers.

We have Mid Sem and End Sem exam every semester in which we have theoretical exams and their respective practical exams. I found Theoretical exams easy as compared to practical exams.

All the faculty here are very interactive, friendly and helpful.They really work hard to shape the students in all means whether it is personal development or technical development.We used to have guest lectures from the renowned lecturers and whole faculty staff is very skilled in technical terms as well. Almost everybody has done their post graduation and doctorates from renowned universities.
