Entrance Preview
IIT JEE 2003 got 2800 AIR during placement filled for available B.Tech courses got placed in IIT Roorkee, metallurgy and material science department.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum included Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Computer science, and Literature for the first year which was common to all from the second year onward metallurgical courses were introduced.
Internships Opportunities
Did an internship with defense research and development organization Bangalore, did some work on composite material used in defense did not get any stipend offer for the same.
Placement Experience
Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee offers very good placement opportunities. Many good companies register themselves during placement.
College Events
Various events were celebrated in IIT Roorkee thomso cultural fest cognizance technical fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure was very feasible we paid 10k for each semester there were various scholarship schemes which helped many students.
Campus Life
It's a great experience to spend life in any of IIT's extraordinary sports facilities enthusiastic robotics groups and all various competitions and debates were held on a regular basis.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities were good 1st we need to share room with 1 person from second year separate private rooms were allocated.
Alumni/Alumna
As a fellow alumnus I can say the alumni network of IIT Roorkee is very good seniors try to help Juniors even after college life.
Exam Structure
Each semester 3 exams were conducted 2 having 25 credit 1 having 40, 50 credit compared to other colleges it was a little hectic.
Faculty
Faculty was were experienced they knew how to teach students and how to engage them for practicals and tutorials. Though some of the faculty were not easy to reach, most of the faculty were more than happy to help.
